• It's the holidays - Spicy honey cocoa

Rather than splitting open a femoral artery, I thought I'd make and drink a mug of a hot cocoa instead.

And here's the recipe since the forum needs content. Also it was pretty good and perfect for a chilly night.

    1 heaping tablespoon cocoa
    1 1/4 to 1 1/2 tablespoon honey
1 small drop of vanilla extract
    1/8ish teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4ish teaspoon cinnamon (I think; I just sprinkled it in. It may have been sliiiightly less.)
    1 cup milk

Put it all in a saucepan on medium-high heat. Whisk it all together. Heat it until it starts to simmer. Pour in a cup.

my recipe for hot cocoa is this:

      1 tbsp cocoa powder
      1 tbsp white sugar

fill cup with hot water; garnish with grand marnier soaked marshmallows

I'll try your version but it seems like a lot of work compared to mine.

It might not be everyone's cup o' tea, but I made it a couple times and found that the outcome is rather sensitive to getting the proportions of ingredients right (the measurements here are approximate). Also I used a rather mild cayenne pepper powder, as pepper powders go. Stronger ones might be unpleasant.

well the spice was fine (i just added a drop of sriracha) it was more the sweetness / honey taste that offended me (i went easy on the honey too)
