Which is cooler? Gun fights or sword fights? I gotta go with sword fights because they tend be more of an adrenaline rush for me, plus I was raised on Samurai flicks. Don't get me wrong, I love gunfights (Tombstone, the Matrix, No Country for Old Men, Dirty Harry, etc) but blade action is where it's at.
What about you?
I'll go with swords. Not only because it is cool, but it's also because it's really awesome to be able to wield a sword.
I learned how to sword fight a couple of years ago...it's much more fun than just aiming a shooting a gun.
Only gun fights I ever thought were cool were what I read about in the "Dark Tower" series....
Sword fights are where it's at, that and it takes more skill to best an opponent by blade than by gun
I never really got into that series, but you should watch Tombstone with Val Klemer. He plays Doc Holiday and kicks ass. Unloads an old school revolver into one dude before the guy even hits the ground dead.Quote:

Swords. I'm not a fan of gratuitous violence as a general rule, but swordfights are fucking epic.
Fist fights are more enjoyable. Gun fights and sword fights never last too long.
Yeah this. I haven't quite figured out why I think it, because I mean the function of both swords and guns is frankly horiffic, but swords are somehow more honourable, more noble, more graceful. A swordfight has a lot more character than a gunfight.Quote:

I'm gonna have to say knife fights are the most epic. Its close range, short weapon, and its almost fist fighting. Its an escalated fist fight, that hasn't gotten to guns yet. Knives are the best because its so intense, one misstep and you got a knife in your gut. Plus knife fights seem more animalistic, less graceful and more furious. And knives are small enough and light enough that you can still move fast if you want to, or switch hands. So, knives ftw.
It doesn't matter how epic the knife fight is, every time I see one I can't help but think of that Butch Cassidy and the Sun Dance Kid movie.Quote:

I like sword fights over gun fights because epic 1-on-1 sword fights are believable and epic 1-on-1 gun fights are either not believable and retarded or are quite believable and too short to be cool.
