Franklin got fucking robbed. I agree Hendo won the first round, he rocked Franklin once and stayed in top position and pounded on him. But the next two rounds Franklin pretty much picked him apart on the feet and didn't spend a lot of time on the mat.
Also lol, Shogun looked fucking terrible. Coleman came hard for the first few minutes, but after that he literally did nothing and was beating Shogun. It was an early stoppage too, Coleman was clearly still going for a takedown when the ref stopped it, and if it had gone that extra few seconds to the judges Coleman might have even won. Fuck Shogun.
Davis and Lytle delivered though, great fight.
Dude, Franklin got robbed so hard. It pissed me off so badly that Hendo won that fight based on the fact that he poked Ace in the eye, headbutted him, and laid on top of him. Franklin beat his ass in rounds two and three. Hendo only won round one.
Coleman, he's a joke, he was completely gassed halfway in to the first round. Shogun just couldn't finish him though, it was pathetic. Also the stoppage right before the end of round three was ridiculous.
raghead, you pretty much got it spot on. I was expecting so much after the Davis/Lytle brawl, and nothing else really delivered. That fight was clearly fotn, and the highlight of the whole show. I'm glad that I didn't pay $50 to watch that shit.
Franklin definitely didn't beat his ass at all, it was really close but I felt Franklin won. Then again I am a Franklin fan. This was probably the one instance where I feel a draw would be necessary. Looking at the fight without bias, it should have been:
Round 1: 10-9 Hendo
Round 2: 10-10 Draw
Round 3: 10-9 Franklin
29-29 Draw
Also man, either Lytle is really big or Davis is a tiny WW. Lytle looked HUGE in that fight. I'm kind of disappointed at how wild he was though, he was really just swinging for the fences while Davis ran a technical boxing clinc on him. Should have been a UD, I don't see why one of the judges thought Lytle won. I mean Lytle probably won the first round and had Davis rocked pretty hard but I'm pretty sure Davis convincingly won the other two rounds. And man, some of the exchanges just had me amazed. Davis has such amazing footwork and movement he could stand in the pocket and not even get touched.
Davis had some great head and body movement going on during that fight. It seems like his boxing actually gets better every time he fights.
