Okay, this marks the inauguration of the first AI Bullshit Contest.

How to play:

Everyone who wants to participate posts a thread in AI that's complete bullshit. As meaningless and waffly as possible, with as little genuine substance as possible.

However, your aim is to make it IMPOSSIBLE to tell apart from a real discussion thread. Try to spark a debate -- and the longer you maintain and the more you expand on your bullshit, the greater the scope and the more convincing it is. However, some bullshit will be pretty apparent -- play along, because it MIGHT just be a serious thread, and any posts that don't add some kind of content to the discussion will be deleted and/or penalised (this is AI after all).

Entrants are encouraged to post serious threads during this time, too, to "cover their tracks", so that it's not so easy to tell which threads are utter wank and which are just eclectic.

Here's some inspiration.

Anyone is free to enter, with threads OR just a series of posts across other people's threads.

At the end of the period, contestants PM me their entries (multiple bullshit threads allowed! as many as you want!) and we judge them via poll. Winners will receive something cool, or credits if I haven't thought of anything better (but I will try to).

Rules:

-Participants are not allowed to publicly admit that they are playing anywhere on the site. Even if it's disgustingly obvious.
-As above, no "calling out" a thread as being bullshit. Play along -- at the end of the contest, you might be eligible just from sufficiently bullshitty replies, as opposed to original threads you've posted.
-No bullshitting in this thread. This thread is only for questions relating to the game.
-And, of course, the normal AI rules (don't get aggressive, higher than average standards of posting) apply in all threads. If you're going to bullshit in a serious thread, you better make it look like you're contributing SOMETHING!
-Only threads and replies posted between now and the 18th of March will be eligible for entry.

GO!
