Default the Great AI Experiment Phase 1

I just wanted to quickly welcome everyone to the Great AI Experiment. This is, ideally, a place for us to hold conversations that go a bit more in depth than what we usually encounter in Casual Intercourse (oh my). I have a couple ideas percolating in this twisted mind of mine for some things or topics or general events to happen in this forum, but I'll wait and see what the interest level here is like before I start really pushing for anything. If you guys have any suggestions at all for things you would like to see here, feel free to PM me anytime and we will civilly discuss them.

There are a couple ground rules I would like to lay out here. Ideally, we're looking for a higher quality post in this forum. This isn't to say that a lack of proper grammer or spelling is going to get you kicked out (although proper format is encouraged), but more the quality of what you post is going to be held up to a higher standard. Flaming for the sake of flaming is not allowed, posts that do not add to the topic at hand are not allowed, although if your comment is clever enough, I might give you a pat on the back for it.

I would prefer if, at the beginning of a thread, you could bold a question or statement that reflects the heart of the issue you would like to address in the thread. I think that this will help keep the thread focused on the topic at hand, although I'm not going to enforce this as a rule. At the same time, I encourage you to go off-topic if you have something interesting or important to say. If it develops into another conversation, I will split the thread to allow both conversations to flourish.

Again, if you have any questions or suggestions, I encourage you to contact Syme or myself about it. We're always open to new suggestions and ideas that can improve the forum, and the more involved you get with a community and the more you contribute to it, the better it will be.
