Default Need a new pair of headphones...

So, the time has come in which I have gotten sick of my Skullcandy earbuds (uncomfortable, no L/R labels), and I need a new pair of relatively inexpensive behind the neck headphones. I'm looking at spending a max of $20-25, and I really am looking more at personal feedback than internet reviews. First off, these are going to be for my Zune, and I will be using them on the train to school. Sound quality must be decent (good highs and lows, bass, etc.), and I really need a long term pair that is both comfortable and reliable. I had a pair of Philips from a while ago, and I really liked the cloth covered wiring and elastic connection. I may end up going with another pair of those, but I need feedback to see which to go with. Money is tight, so cheaper will always work as well. Thanks.

When I got my Zune last year I went on a search for some awesome head phones to go with it. Unfortunately in that price range at the time(it seems prices have dropped on similar products ) there was nothing but junk. The only pair I found that I was satisfied with were these Phillips http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...uct_id=4956150

At the time they were out of yours and my desired price range but they were comfortable, the sound quality was really nice, and they were light. However, they were kind of quiet I had both my headphones and the headset turned all the way up in the mall and was still hearing people around me (hardly the case with even half the volume on my current headphones.) I assume because I never stuck a AAA battery in the little plastic amplifier but if I was spending 60 on a pair of head phones (now $27!) I wasn't going to invest in a AAA battery every few days, so I took them back and raised my price range.

So if you don't mind using a AAA battery to boost the sound these are a pretty decent pair.

Actually, those aren't too bad looking, and they look comfy. The battery isn't really much of a problem, as I have a number of rechargeable AAA batteries. Even then, I can still use them without the noise canceling. I will keep them in mind, so thanks. Too bad they aren't in stores anymore though.

Yes, noise canceling tech requires you use the batteries, otherwise they're merely another set of headphones.
