I've been producing with Reason 4 the past year or so and use an MPD32 midi controller. I'm still learning but I've gotten much better over the year. I do it as a hobby, usually do alternative hip-hop beats. My main influences are J Dilla, Flying Lotus, Madlib and RZA, along with many others. I've been looking for new music to get into to sample, any suggestions? I'm open to any artist pre 1980. I've been sampling Motown, Jazz and Soul.
