    Default obsessive drawings

Last semester we had a drawing final assignment: to draw three pictures of anything we wanted, all three pictures had to be related in some way or another. I chose to draw obsessive drawings and to use ink. This is three drawings on 18''x 24'' drawing paper, drawn with dip pen and ink.

Wish I could get a print of the second one, really like it. The detail in the third is pretty awesome too.

You may enjoy looking into doing some batik fabric designs, very similar concept to what you've got going on here

Fair play, like them. I used pen and ink for a while on some comics, found it pretty time consuming though. Did you switch to a brush for the larger areas of black?

I enjoyed looking at the batik fabric designs, they're so purty. it looks like they use wax, maybe I'll use that style for my next drawing.

thanks, you can go to a fancy print store and print a duplicate though it might be costly at a fancy print store/place/whatever.

I love pen and ink, I like that it's time consuming. I find the process to be a bit calming. I used a larger pen nib for the large black areas. You should post some of your cartoons you created with the pen and ink(if you don't mind), I'd like to see them.

Yeah, can be very satisfying though. Have to be in the right mood I think. They are on my website, the earlier half were all brush and ink I think, and the latter pen and ink Romuns Oh and these are all pens and ink of some form The Rest of History
