Alliteration!
I had completely forgotten about this until tonight when a friend of mine reminded me. Here is a rambling verse of alliteration:
Preening, plumed poppinjays, peacocking and prattling over perfect 10 packages
propagating the presumptuous preconception of
pacifists, passing peacefully, prizes presented pleasingly
Appeasing the presiding pastor's preceding sermon preaching
the parallels between presidents and polygamy
prosecuting the prolifery of penalizing pyrrhic victory
Where pawns with premade speeches parley pint-sized pieces
pacing their parrotry with props sent from purgatory
that pageantry, passively presenting pandemic panic as reality
purging the peasantry of purloined pre-eminence, see
until the past, previously incarcerated, prevails in
auspiciously precipitating suspicious prescience
in the printed paper, painting preference for papacy
in the face of prevalence of pissantry
paling in comparison to the passé prevarication
of press-ganged prisoners parroting parables ceaselessly

Well, I mean, surely you knew this would occur when you posted this thread:
"Voilà! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant and vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a bygone vexation stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition! The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it's my very good honour to meet you and you may call me V."

yes i suppose i should have known
also i suppose i should mention in a display of bravado and my own genius that this represents a total of about 3 hours of thinking time, written entirely between the start of my workday and first break some months ago.
