Thread: Holy Carp its a Po-em.

I wrote this a little while back. While it isn't very good it has a lot of meaning for me. Just thought I'd share.

Untitled Poem

I sit upon a throne of garbage, alone but for my thoughts
Staring into the twisted treasures of my memories
Pierce me; they burn my eyes
Failure I courted for so long only to say goodbye, bitter do you taste
I rise from my gilded seat of refuse
Cast away regret, fear and lies; I ready myself for what comes
I step alone into light where none may follow me
For they are awaiting me there, both sorrowed and joyful
The time has come to reap what I've made
And they shall release me; no matter the cost
I take the first step into the light
Only to fall through darkness everlasting
I have been judged, and so it ends.
