Mafia Reboot: Fight the Power! [Night 1]

Nermy and sponge's biggest mistake was bumping me off first.

It would have been pretty easy to frame me as mafia.

It's not optimal to protect the cop every night, it's optimal to ensure the cop stays alive. See the difference? This whole game relies on mindgames - as a doctor, you know they know you're going to protect the cop every night, because that's what seems like the best thing to do is. This illusion of protection has the same effect as actual protection - only the truly insightful and the completely fucking new will ever target a cop for a night kill when they know a doctor's in the game. KT played suboptimally and Nermy threw up a hail Mary to take advantage of it. wtf? You make it sound like Nermy knew KT wasn't protecting you. Nermy picked you pretty much at random.

I don't get why you're so upset about KT. pulling a stunt that could've worked for not being optimal play, but saying nothing about how suboptimal for Nermy it is to even target you in the first place.

Also you should play in the next game, if your ego deflates in time.

Ok answer me this: what advantage would we have gained if KT blocked a kill on MPR vs MPR dying because she protected me? If your answer is none, then she played suboptimally.

Protip: knowing 3 of 4 roles is the same as knowing 2 of 3.

what difference did it make having you dead? Nermy was suspicious as all duck already, kt was ask but officially cleared and mpr was officially clear. The game was already decided after the lynching. What advantage did nermy have targeting you over mpr or kt?

You're quibbling over a gambit in a safe scenario already, one that could only end badly if mpr acted as new as nermy did. your death was irrelevant at that point of the game, so why all the kerfuffle?

Cops know who other cops are at the very beginning, right? If the cops attempt to lynch a protected target, then is their round lost or must they choose a new target before transitioning to the next phase?

i was playing under the assumption that the round would be lost otherwise i'd be shooting atmosfear in the face all night long

in standard terms:

mafia members know each other from the very beginning. If they target a player protected by the doctor, no one is killed and the game continues.

"all but officially cleared" and "investigated" are NOT the same thing, dude. MPR is a new player, he easily could have misread KT as a bluffing mafia. Even if it was just a small chance of failure, there was actually ZERO chance of not knowing who the mafia was if I had lived. So I challenge you again: if there's even the slightest disadvantage, it's a suboptimal play.

The benefit of hindsight doesn't change the odds. One play guarantees you a win regardless of Nermy's action (protect Atmosfear.) The other required a player to decide who to kill based on imperfect information. You're acting like there's some advantage or extra win condition if you also block a cop kill... At the point she tried to block, it wouldve been meaningless.

Why the fuck are you guys still talking about this shit?
