Thread: I sped the site up A LOT and broke multi-quote. whoops.

Some of you may have noticed today that the site got exponentially faster. I've been doing some work on speeding it up, but something I did broke multi-quote.

Basically the problem is the image doesn't change from dark to light when you click it. It has to do with the image caching system I installed. You can still multi-quote, it's just that the image doesn't change colors. sorry.


For those that don't know, Google now puts page speed as a priority for ranking highly in search engines. So every little tweak I make to make the site faster will help us be found easier by people doing google searches.


Increasing the speed of the vB 4 test site is also something I'm working on. That's proving more difficult though.

Hmm. Apparently my crafty "usergroup promotion" didn't work quite right. You're supposed to need 30-days and 30 posts to see flames. In this case the requirement seems to be 30-days AND 30 posts. I'll investigate.

Edit: Fixed, and you should be able to see Flames now.

Yup seems to be all good now, I can go back to lurking.

Oh weird, it was working in flames, but not on the blue default skin.
