Front Page content
Our vBulletin upgrade has given us a "Front Page" (aka "CMS" -> Content Management System) which hasn't been used at this point but is oozing with potential. This is where you come in.
Post "articles" in this thread and we'll get the best ones on our Front Page. You can include images and video if you so desire. Examples and instructions are already posted on the Front Page
Articles? As in news articles? What sort of things constitute going on the front page? Should we reach back and post up some of the better threads?

Threads are good too but generally we want funny or interesting original content. When I have some spare time (perhaps some night this week as I'll be cooped up in a suite in Atlanta) I'll start sorting catagories & stuff for the front page.
If you don't work on it Mrs. Tengu will have to assume you met a floozy in the hotel bar.

Plus even though articles have been published there's still nothing on the actual front page ("There is no content in this section")
Whoever published them (only admin can) put them in subsections, there is an article published under Casual Discourse and one in Video. Whether that was on purpose or not I cannot speak to.Originally Posted by KT.
I'm working to figure out the first post disappearing issue, coming up short on google. I've got it at the top of my bug list though, since its annoying and people are complaining.
I can understand why it does it, sorta, but it's also not placed in an easy-to-access location (you know.. right on the front page)

The weird thing is for something so obviously annoying, I can't see for the life of me to find anyone on Google that has had similar problems.
I'm trying to search for stuff like vbulletin CMS front page 1st post disappears forum thread starts with 1st reply or 2nd post etc
The weird thing (and probably a clue) is that I can see it just fine as an admin, so I've toggled any possible relevant permission setting I can find and have been flipping back and forth between a not-logged-in user and nothing seems to help. For about two seconds there any joe schmoe looking at our site could've edited anything on our Front Page, in a blanket attempt to rule out an entire page of permission settings
can we get a system in place where a certain amount of +reps or rating votes automatically places threads on the front page feed?
