DC is more mature and deep than Marvel
I don't really know which camp I fall into though
You know why I like Marvel better than DC? Recaps. Marvel follows Stan Lee's philosophy that every comic is someone's first and thus all Marvel comics have some sort of recap every issue. Hardly any DC comics have recaps. I read 30 to 40 different comics each month. There's a good chance I'm going to forget what happened last month in Batman and Robin unless the author reminds me.
lol
Shitface, you look shitfaced.
Nah, just a little stoned.
He's looking more and more like the unibomber everyday.
He looks like a Jedi.
A homeless Jedi
may the faesce be with you
I agree. Superman has every ability you could ever conceive of, up to and including TIME TRAVEL... This is a sure sign of maturity and deep storylines.
I guess maybe Batman has some depth as a character but frankly his abilities read more like an 80s cartoon series selling action figures and accessories than they do a "mature and deep" storyline. Quick, to the batfax!
No there's not CBC
Also, don't take this the wrong way WA
But will you marry me?
because the right way to take that is definitely to reply to the question "What colour is a chicken?"?
gdafy
This is exactly why I don't like Superman.. he has every ability and he doesn't really have many ties to this planet. It's not even his home planet. He's saving the world more out of convenience than anything.
I do quite enjoy DC though. I used to read Spiderman when I was younger but I'm now more into Batman and Wonder Woman.
To each their own, though.
Also this. I prefer two of the more popular, but DC definitely has a lot more to offer.Quote:

KT. I get what you're saying, but personally I prefer no recaps... it's not too difficult to figure out what is going on once you're partway through, mind you sometimes it is a little trickier. I'd hate to have three to four pages of stuff I remember over new material though.
Also I totally agree, ShitFace does look like a homeless Jedi.
Jedis are never homeless, they are at home everywhere in the universe.
and this one just chooses to be at home by the side of a curb
Well there's a lot more content in DC so it would take up a lot more.
OH SNAP
just kidding though, you're right.. I haven't read a Marvel comic for a long time.
OK ladies, take it to nerdcore
KT. here is a picture of my wall so far
Spoiler
Are those just Batman comics?
Also it looks like the comics fit perfectly width wise.
They also fit in perfectly with the hideous wall color
jk it's a push
oh oh, pick me, pick me
atmosfear?
that color must be Sherwin Williams' "Stegosaurus Shit Green" lets go to our color expert Anony D for confirmation
superman is more interesting than people give him credit; it's because he's so powerful that his stories can be compelling. after all, a storyteller has to be inventive to think up ways to bring a god to his knees.
sure, MOSTLY the stories are crap and hinge on some weak kryptonite plot. but with comics, and other universes with flexible canon or continuity, i think it's important not to judge an idea or character by its execution. there's hundreds of shit batman stories, but batman as an idea is incredibly compelling. superman's the same. and, unlike welladjusted, i think it actually makes him more interesting that he's an alien -- he's not saving the world out of convenience, he's saving the world because he's that dedicated to doing right. characters with moral ambiguities and compromises are interesting and compelling characters, but sometimes a character so uncompromising that they'll literally go to any lengths to do what's ultimately right is just as interesting.
Grant Morrison and Frank Miller are the reason I love DC. The Long Halloween, The Killing Joke, Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth are great. I don't really pay much attention to Superman unless its a big event. Otherwise, he's winning.
Superman spent virtually his whole life on earth. To say he has no attachment to this planet is just stupid.
That is probably the nerdiest sentence I will ever type.
He could relocate.
Atmoscheer I live in a student house, I'm not allowed to change the colour of the walls.
That being said, my landlord probably doesn't even know what colour the rooms are.
