I play with a few different groups every week and sing in a couple choral groups so I can relate to that. Just remember that everyone starts somewhere, and those who are good have likely been doing this awhile. Music is like a muscle, you have to practice and work it out to get better results. Many groups, and sounds like the one you are in, are very supportive of new people who even if they are not the best right now, they have a love of music and a desire to improve. That's the most important thing. Don't worry about comparing yourself to others, who is better, etc. Everyone has a unique angle they bring to the table in music and songwriting. If you work as a group all of those talents pool together. If you enjoy it, stick with it and strive to always improve and while you can always be happy with where you are at any given time, always keep working to get to the next level and set new goals.

Yeah, I'm happy that they weren't giving me a hard time. Good point though I don't know how much they are practicing. Yeah, I do think it helps me get practice, think of new ideas, so even if I feel I might not be as good as them skill wise, at least I'm getting practice and good ideas and doing something I like doing. Thanks.
