The drama was over TheGunOwner selling the website to a guy named Neil who instituted a curse filter. There was a huge uproar about it since that was a stupid idea, and Neil promptly closed down the forum days later.
Ahh! Thanks for the info. I was too young to understand all the drama that happened. One of the few things that I remembered was someone made a satire hate sites for LWS. OH, and there was *one* girl on there! She posted a photo of her self playing in like chocolate pudding or something, and later regretted ever posting it. OMGWTFBBW was a popular meme at that time. Haha, the odd memories we remember. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Wonder how much he sold the site for?
