I try to check in once a week or so and I can't imagine there's anyone checking much more than that

aside from maybe DaiTengu

on a side note I choose to believe DaiTengu continues to run the site solely because he holds himself responsible for introducing TGO to Niel and literally cannot live with the soul destroying guilt that eats away at him every moment of every day

That must be it. This place's continued existence is probably one of the most significant oddities in the history of the internet. We are literally outcasts from a website that most of us joined 16 years ago. 16 years!
