I'm making a Casual Discourse page on Facebook.

For anyone familiar with the "John Smith became a fan of XYZ" aspect of Facebook, you'll understand what I'm doing. The page is unpublished currently, because I'd like to get it looking at least moderately active first.

Please post any photos ITT that you'd like to see added to the page. They can be old LWS jokes or images created just for CD. I also really need a main page photo - I'm planning currently to just use a larger image of the Anonymous account's avatar (http://www.jaunted.com/files/3873/panda.jpg), but only because CD has no logo and I can't think of anything else.

Suggestions for the "mission" section of the page are also welcome (it currently reads: "for great internets" due to my lack of creativity).

Hopefully everyone on CD who Facebooks will join the group and perhaps even generate some interest from their friends.

Well. I was hoping we could have an actual, official page with updates that could be arranged here on the website first, but if you guys would rather just use that one, okay. It doesn't seem to be very active, though.

I'm asking that everyone comes up with something better, collectively, so that the page actually represents this website instead of being a disorganized blip on the radar that receives little or no updates. I want it to be used as an advertising tool that brings in the kind of people we want to see at CD, rather than a simple Facebook circlejerk for already established members.

It isn't about what I am personally capable of, it's about what the actual members of the site could bring to the effort.

Well I think the old site looks just fine, as meh as Facebook usually is. Okay, not really, it was just the first group I saw that had CD attached to it. A new site would be banging though.

Totally understandable. What I'm really hoping is for a dash of that viral Facebook status update magic - it won't require the participation of everyone when it comes to actually adding it to their profiles. It's really just going to be a living advertisement, to tell you the truth - so content and media contributions are probably even more helpful than the actual "adds", especially since I think there are enough unashamed CD users to fulfill that part of the deal.

In other words, if you're too scared to link to CD on your Facebook, try writing a silly, entertaining article about CD that can be posted there instead, or helping to compile CD/LWS meme images from your "retarded internet shit" folders, etc.

Actual themes don't seem to be possible, in terms of color scheme and all that. It's really just limited to posting photos and videos and having a "wall" where members (or guests, if allowed) may post comments. There is also a mini-forum where people can post threads that are usually about stupid, irrelevant things.

So. I'm not going to publish the page until I get at least some material to throw up there.

I like this one, but other than the yarly it may present the same problem as the first.

This one seems easier to read, but it also seems a little bit boring to me.

The first one didn't look right with the bottom being empty imo, which is why I added the yarly. Looking back on it all it should have been in the other corner anyway though.

(I'm not good at this in case you guys didn't notice.)
