I woke up today at 9am from my girlfriend calling me from africa (some of you probably remember she is volunteering there). Apparently she is vomiting every couple of minutes or so and can't stop. If she drinks water she just throws it back up. She has also stopped taking her malaria prevention pills a month ago (without me knowing because I would have backhanded the bitch through the phone upon receiving this information in any other way). She is also 10 hours from the nearest hospital. Fuck my life.

tl;dr - My girlfriend can't stop vomiting in africa 10 hours away from a hospital.

I know some forms of Malaria pills can actually make your very sick depending on how you spend your time. She probably doesn't have Malaria, but...it could just be the water.

I believe it's heat exhaustion because she's been on the coast for the past couple of days and apparently has a fairly gnarly sunburn.

Some malaria medication can actually cause hallucinations and if you are out in the sun for prolonged periods of time the medicine can act against you like that too.

I think there is some humor that we missed. Oh well, she is feeling better now. She stopped vomiting and the nausea has calmed down quite a bit.

that's good to hear. hopefully it's not malaria and is just heat exhaustion or a relatively minor illness that her system can easily fight.
