Not necessarily. You obviously haven't heard of the woman who died in the ER waiting room because of the inattentive staff. She was the only person there, as well. Some of the time, it boils down to insurance, and that's a sad truth that many people won't look at. Triage or not.
First of all what mal said is true. But even assuming that doesn't happen too often(which I don't know about but I hope so), there are still a lot of people who could easily be in much more pain or with a more serious problem that wouldn't necessarily need the attention at that moment but they deserve it more. Why make other people wait for care when you can just as easily make an appointment and be no worse off.
Yeah, I didn't realize Redicare doesn't exist everywhere. I mean, I can drive 15 minutes, wait another 15 minutes in a small room then see a doctor who is super strung out and hasn't slept in 3 days or been paid in 4 months, but he'll still write me a script for something. As far as I'm concerned I ain't going to the ER unless it's in an ambulance. Although ambulance rides are not fun, I swear they hit every possible pothole along the way.
Dude, you're making no sense. If someone is in more pain than a guy with a chest infection, the pain guy goes first. If they have a more serious problem than a guy with a chest infection, they go first. A guy who slammed his hand in a car door isn't going to die, whereas a guy with pneumonia will, though hopefully not in the next 10 minutes. But, the guy with the mashed fingers is in more pain than a guy with pneumonia so they'd at least get him into a room and give him something to make him feel better first, thereby, oh, I dunno....giving him care first.
And yeah, there's ER horror stories everywhere and yeah, they are true. But they are exceptions to the rule and not what we are talking about here.
man tidus doesn't have pneumonia. he isn't gonna die even if he doesnt go to the doctor.

Not to change the subject or anything, but I advise getting it checked out. My friend and classmate had pneumonia and an upper respiratory infection for a while and had not shown improvement. He was finally sent to hematologist and found out he had leukemia. He starts chemo tomorrow. Now I know this most likely isn't the case for you, but i'm just saying.

Also, I forgot to mention that on a streak of 5 or 6 years, I've had either pneumonia or bronchitis.(Pneumonia being the reason I failed some classes last year, thus making me take a year off.) I guess that would have validated my reasons a bit more.

Uh yea I think that is pretty important information. Pneumonia is no joke and if you get it like that then you going to the hospital is justified.
