I could hear up to 16 kHz. I heard something for the higher tones, but I'm pretty sure I was only hearing the lower pitched overtones.

Are you sure you weren't hearing the lower pitched overtones? I can hear something for all of the links, but I can only hear the high pitched tones up to 16 kHz.

I could hear all of them.

I wear hearing protection about 75% of the time that I'm working. I fix planes, so it's pretty important.

Someone was on digg today. I just saw this a little bit ago and I had fun being able to hear the higher frequencies while no one else here could hear anything above 14k.

I hooked my laptop up to my good speakers and was able to hear up to 22khz. At work though I couldn't hear anything past 17k and I think it was because of the speakers.

Ultra bump. Also I have lost 18, 17 & 16. I can barely hear 15 and 14 is clear. Not too bad now that I am 38. For those of you in this thread still coming to this god forsaken cemetery, test again (website still works!!) and let us know how much shittier your hearing has gotten over the last 14 years.

On second thought, my hearing is typically shite because I have awful ear wax that I have to get cleaned out periodically by my doctor. When it gets really bad, it not only inhibits my hearing, but it affects my sense of balance as well so I feel vertigo on occasionally when standing up.

I wouldn't be surprised if I could hear higher frequencies after a fresh cleaning. This thread has reminded me that I may be due for one...

I heard all of them but, like sycld was saying earlier, I may have only been hearing certain undertones or something in the higher frequencies. But I don't care enough to figure it.

I know I heard up to 19kHz. I'm not sure if I can hear 20kHz. There's a lot of high pitch ambient noise where I am.

Peoples' results will differ depending on which speakers they use.

I could hear up to 18 kHz on my laptop speakers, but only up to 16 kHz on my earbuds.

That's called tinnitus and you should get it checked. You really don't want to go deaf before you reach 80.

    Im' 19 and I can hear 22.

But I'm listening through studio reference monitors, regular speakers etc will generally only have a decent response up to about 19, so don't be worried if it's lower than you'd think.

Tinnitus is the tiny hairs in your ear, which sense vibrations dying. Which is why you hear it most after extremes of volume, but it can just come on for no reason. After a while it'll go away, but you will suffer reduced hearing ability.

Unfortunately there's not really a lot that can be done unless you want a hearing aid, pretty pointless when all you're suffering is slight high frequency loss.
