I could hear 17, but nothing after that.
I'm 22.
Cool.
I couldn't hear past 18.
I could hear 20k but not 18k or 19k...is this normal?

I wear hearing protection about 75% of the time that I'm working. I fix planes, so it's pretty important.
19 was the highest I could hear.
Someone was on digg today. I just saw this a little bit ago and I had fun being able to hear the higher frequencies while no one else here could hear anything above 14k.
31 years old.
can still hear 18khz
can hear 20k
16 male
I could only hear up to 16k, i'm 17.
I only heard up to 19 and I'm 17
I hooked my laptop up to my good speakers and was able to hear up to 22khz. At work though I couldn't hear anything past 17k and I think it was because of the speakers.
I could hear all of them and I am 20 years old.
I have a headache now .
On second thought, my hearing is typically shite because I have awful ear wax that I have to get cleaned out periodically by my doctor. When it gets really bad, it not only inhibits my hearing, but it affects my sense of balance as well so I feel vertigo on occasionally when standing up.
I wouldn't be surprised if I could hear higher frequencies after a fresh cleaning. This thread has reminded me that I may be due for one...
I maxed out at 14 and Im 26. Not really surprised.
Edit:
Just took it again with my headphone volume turned up at got to 20 this time.

I heard all of them but, like sycld was saying earlier, I may have only been hearing certain undertones or something in the higher frequencies. But I don't care enough to figure it.
also sycld (or anyone that has an answer), do you have any tried and true recipes for vegetable korma you could pm me
i want it to taste authentic
I know I heard up to 19kHz. I'm not sure if I can hear 20kHz. There's a lot of high pitch ambient noise where I am.
19 registered some sound, but it was faint. 20 was just about completely silent for me
barely heard 20.
Peoples' results will differ depending on which speakers they use.
I could hear up to 18 kHz on my laptop speakers, but only up to 16 kHz on my earbuds.
The fiery red Torino rolled to the curb, we hit the pavement ready for action.
i have a sound that is remarkably like 19K ringing in my ears all the time, very quietly
it is certainly quite annoying

14, too many kabooms in my trade.
Im' 19 and I can hear 22.
But I'm listening through studio reference monitors, regular speakers etc will generally only have a decent response up to about 19, so don't be worried if it's lower than you'd think.
I can hear 16 and I am 20. I listen to my iPod a whole lot.
I could hear 18. That's also how old I am.
Tinnitus is the tiny hairs in your ear, which sense vibrations dying. Which is why you hear it most after extremes of volume, but it can just come on for no reason. After a while it'll go away, but you will suffer reduced hearing ability.
Unfortunately there's not really a lot that can be done unless you want a hearing aid, pretty pointless when all you're suffering is slight high frequency loss.

but i mean literally every second of the day, there is this high pitched squeal or whine that sounds remarkably like 19k on my speakers, just quiet, all the time.
my cousin has the same thing and i remember the two of us having discussions baout how there was no such thing as silence
