Thanks for replying. I see. I reread some of the threads. So they throw out the hamburgers that have been sitting out a long time. Would an employee be allowed to eat it on shift or if not save it for his/her break? Some restaurants let the employees eat food that would otherwise be thrown out while others don't as the manager wants the employees to buy food from the restaurant to eat so to increase profit. That's cool a mcjersey. It is like a basketball jersey but with a mcdonald's logo. Good point of the 1b I didn't think of that. That's cool if you can have extra stuff like pickles, mayo, sauce for free. Interesting about cleaning the food for each item. I didn't know that. I thought they might between vegetarian and meat items as for vegetarians requests.

depends on the managers who are in charge
I got a lot of food that wasn't served to customers for whatever reason
    it's gross
you get unlimited free pop too, but that's not something you should indulge in

but you should expect that employees rarely throw out expired food
it's not hard to tell when you're biting into old food
an indirect way to get fresh fries is to ask for no salt, because they get salted as soon as they're done frying
an indirect way to get them to make your sandwich on the spot instead of serving you one that's already been made is to ask for no pickles or no lettuce, depending on the sandwich (why not extra pickles? think about it)

you have to pay for extra cheese, extra patties, and extra sauce
I'm not sure about extra anything else

the only burger choice for vegetarians is fish

The 'no salt' thing works. I knew a guy who was allergic to salt (probably not literally but I think he had some sort of heart defect so he had to be really careful).

Going to McDonalds with him was a drag because you'd have to wait at least 20 minutes for them to do new fries

That;s true, tje more unique your order the better a chance you have of it being fresh.

Lol but only wannabe vegetarians eat fish. The only vegetarian thing is a salad.

I remember once when I was young. My mom ordered for us. She ordered the fries without the salt. She said because regular fries have so much sodium and it was bad for our health. Well we had to wait longer than usual but our fries were hot. I think my mom stopped doing that because she didn't want to wait around as long anymore. They have way less taste without the salt. If I ordered fries without salt I would want to salt them later.

Yeah, I mean I prefer the fresh burgers to old burgers. But I mean asking how long the burgers have been sitting out well I never actually asked. As for asking for no pickles or no lettuce that could work too. It is less embarassing than asking for fresh food. I just like getting the same or more food for the money. But the tradeoff of a little less condiment and fresher food doesn't seem like that bad a deal. So thanks.
