Vote for anyone on here.
I'm voting for Alan Keyes.
jk Cynthia McKinney as a Jorjan I know that she is well qualified for this esteemed office.
She will reinforce homeland security one cell phone beating at a time.
Ron Paul? He should run with Nader so you can smell the failure and broken dreams a mile away.
Nader has a big following, but, ideologically, they do not share the same stance.
A Paul-Nader ticket would probably be the most fucked up thing ever. Paul has the backing of 'anarcho-capitalists' (yes that doesn't make sense, also known as Objectivists), xenophobes, semi-informed libertarians (I know many that hate Ron Paul and say he ruined the party), and the petty-bourgeoisie in general. Nader has the backing of Trotskyists, generic reformist socialists, alienated Democrats, and generic anti-corporation types. Ironically, the Green Party (which Nader ran under in 1996 and 2000) pretty much only has the bourgeoisie and petty-bourgeoisie voting for them.
William Zebulon Foster for President in 1932!
I am far more ban-trigger happy than sole...
Though I guess you are getting a pass by me because I'm waiting for the ban list to return before I do my work
You'd be surprised. Maybe some of them are dumb and just get by on their looks and skills or w/e but some actually have an education. For example; Matt Damon attended Harvard and was going to graduate but left for acting. Not all celebrities are idiots. I just think you have bottled up anger towards them because you can't be rich and famous like them. It's ok .
GTFO

#1: Yes, all celebrities are idiots, because they are self-absorbed and sheepish (in the easily manipulated way, not the shy way)
#2: Just because you are smart does not mean you understand economics or politics. Intellect is a diverse thing.
#3: 'Dur, I star in movies so you should agree with me' is actually something that sheep people will follow because they don't know any better, which makes it terrible to do.
Agreed. I don't understand how people can blindly follow someone, famous icon or not. I kinda see this a lot in my home town, but instead of celebs it's church leaders (never mind the whole separation of church and state thing). A local church leader will say "We like conservatism" which most of the people will hear as "Vote Republican, that's what God wants!" and totally ignore everything else.
HOW CAN PEOPLE DO THAT?! Drives me nuts.
So like ya, my film career clearly qualifies me as an expert on international politics. Although to be fair, there are some shitty places in the world and I don't think it hurts when people try to use their status to highlight these places that any monkey could identify as needing a bit of help. They just aren't in a position to provide viable solutions. Well some might, but not the ones you here on the TV.
Um, by the same token, how can you claim that their careers as Hollywood stars prevent them from being qualified sources on international affairs, politics, and public policy?
I'm not saying that every celebrity ought to be instantly qualified, but they have just as much chance of taking interest and seeking knowledge of the subjects as anyone here does.
Celebrities may be a partial exception to this, but I've always been under the impression that if you want to learn how to manage wealth, you talk to the wealthy.
A lot of people are opting for the Early Vote.
It will bring in preliminary numbers.
Oh, I would have early voted/absentee if I registered sooner.
In my state McCain is ahead in the polls by over 20%. My vote doesn't matter no matter who I pick.
I wanted to punch this guy who's a family friend, for trying to tell me Obama is Muslim.
So I'm about 90% sure that Obama has no idea what the fuck he's going to do when he gets in office and has no real expectations of getting there because I've yet to hear any amount of detail from him.
At least Ron Paul knew he was going to implement the gold standard
Obama would be a natural choice but he's so flat chested....

Yea, Obama seems to be chronically lacking in detail about his plans. This dissapoints me, as someone from the rest of the world I would rather see him win than McCain but I dunno...yes you need some degree of charisma and a strong presentational style but there needs to be political substance behind this. When he talks about his ideas, on a high level some of them seem good, he has all the whats but seems short on the hows.
I'd urge every American to vote for him just to stop the other side getting in. That Sarah Palin, despite all her milfy goodness, is a complete and utter fucking idiot, she is a clueless redneck wannabe (you cant be a redneck if your from one of the fake states). Obama seems to want to make the right steps forward, I know it isn't enough to just want it, but when you listen to Palin, backwards backwards backwards. I focus on her because you cannot ignore McCains age. There is a realistic chance (albeit small)that it could force him out of office should he win.
There was a time when the USA was the most respected country in the world. It earned that right, that status and most of the world would look to them for leadership, but not now. It won't matter to US citizens, because to most of them the world starts at their west coast and ends on the east, but there is a bigger world beyond the US borders and I think Obama is right to want to rebuild friendships and alliances and return his country to its once respected position. The republicans foreign policy is the biggest threat to national security and a less aggressive policy would help reduce that threat.
On a more serious note, I seen a pic of Palin's kids, I'd fuck her girls, in 25 years time because you know they are packing the milf gene.
