well I used to have plans for a tattoo but then I grew up and realized the Spider-Man symbol on my chest was a bad idea

Anyways, I've got my family crest on my chest. Its nice, but I want to get it touched up. The guy that did it didn't really do "Old English" stuff that often, so it wasn't really his style. It looks exactly like the original though, I just want to get some of the lines bolded/straightened out.

Are you sure that it does actually belong to your family? I mean it may have the name of your family, but the chances of it being related to you in anyway are quite slim.

No I made 100% sure. It's from a book written about our family that's many years old and passed among many generations anyways, so I'm not the only one in my family with this tattoo. So if it is by a slim chance the wrong crest, then a whole lot of Eaton's are going to look like douchebags.

I can't remember if I am actually related to the Jenkin that has a coat of arms. I believe I am (it's a cornish name and my family tree goes back quite heavily to Cornwall). I could find out quite easily but it would involve getting in touch with relatives who I have no real interest in getting in touch with.
I'll ask them at my grandmother's funeral (when she dies).

That is the version straight out of the book. As for other elements, I'm not sure. I've seen many versions using the same escutcheon but different helms (the only one actually significantly different would be a bears head). Nothing that bears any great significance though, just "fluff". So yeah I'd say thats the full arms.

Good Lord, TOGS, if I were to get a tattoo for ever country I've ever visited, I'd look like one of those faggots that has a lot of tattoos.
That's also the kind of faggy endeavor you can't quit half way because the only way you can get gayer than a tattoo for every country you visit is a tattoo for the first few countries you visited before you grew up.

Things change too often for most tattoos to be feasible. Most seem rather impulsive and not something one would want to wear permanently. If I were ever to get one it would be the name of a lost loved one.

To be fair, I've visited most foreign countries while I was an adult. But I mean, they are by no means large or prominent. It's small things like the thunderstorms of Jamaica...or the plantains of Nicaragua.
