No, I understand that it is uncomplicated in its composition (I'm a guitarist too remember). The primary techniques used are unnecessarily complicated for such an unimpressive result. It just feels like every 17 year old guitarist I hung out with in college who had learned to tap and shred quite well so all of a sudden they employ it as much as possible in every song they can, not realising that it in fact detracts from the music itself. This is similar, the effects used don't make the chord progressions or the melodies and harmonies sound any better because they are boring and uninspired chord progressions and melodies and harmonies.
I know I'm not explaining myself as clearly as I possibly could but my concentration isn't with me right now. I'm just trying to let you know that I dislike it for real informed reasons and not the arbitrary reasons douchebags give over the internet. But whatever trevor, different strokes for different folks.
