I mean I'm pro-legalization but if the point of the thread is to think of successful potheads then I can't think of any.
Well thankfully we have this tool called google that allows you to search through information all over the world. Why it can even give us some insight into who a few successful potheads are. Now granted, due to its illegality a LOT of people obviously deny that they use so here are the people who obviously have no problem with admitting it(or have been caught or something).
This was found in about 3 minutes of googling and the top of my head.
Carl Sagan, Michael bloomberg, Sir Richard Branson, Rick Steves, Aaron Sorkin, Michael Phelps, Barack Obama, Ted Turner, Montel Williams, Stephen King, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Richard Feynman, susan blackmore, Joe Rogan, Brad Pitt, Quentin Tarantino, the list could go on.
Come on are you serious? Your restriction to not include creative industries is pretty ridiculous as well, how are you saying that the beatles didn't make themselves famous by writing their music. Here's a little protip for you, it wasn't their marketing or method of distributing albums that was responsible for their success. It's easy to find musicians who smoke because a lot have no problems admitting it. They are practically expected to smoke and do drugs. It isn't very wise to go around admitting doing illegal drugs, even if you are successful, if you still have a boss that will fire your ass or if you are worried about getting arrested. Plus what is your definition of success? Being super rich and famous like most of the people I named? Or graduating from college, making good money and raising a family?
occasional use =/= pothead
this dog looks pretty successful
fuck you babar
Well hey the point was to name 1 successful pothead so there you go.
From what I understand, Montel uses weed as a medication against his MS. How does this make him a pothead?
...because he smokes pot constantly. That was the point.
He is successful with using pot on a heavier basis because it negates pain and allows him rest. How is this at all comparable to a pothead (in my definition, one who gets high for the sake of getting high)? He was successful before he started smoking pot (although he also ingests it orally) and only began it's usage after shit like Percocet and Oxycontin didn't help him with his nerve pain. I still don't see the analogy aside from semantic detail.
