Thread: MAFIA 4 DEAD --- GAME OVER! TOWN WINS!!! [there's a first]

Flavour!

The zombie apocalypse came across the face of the globe with the speed of a wildfire. No one saw it coming, except Max Brooks, and possibly a horde of dirty street-corner preachers. The dead now mercilessly roam the land, feeding off whoever they can bring down with their numbers. But humanity is not counted out yet.

There still exist small pockets of living, who, for the purposes of flavour in this game, still live like suburban, upper class people. Congratulations! You guys not only survived being turned into zombies, but you're still languishing in outrageous luxury! OR ARE YOU?

coqauvin, game moderator was turned into a zombie last night and had to be put down. Everyone agrees that there's no way the town escaped unharmed. Somebody must have been bitten. And the only way to deal with pre-zombie stress is by fucking lynching whoever has that zombie germ in their blood. Do you have the balls to save the town's population by killing people until the right ones are gone? You better.

Rules!

General rules apply. During the day phase, a majority vote causes a lynch which reveals a role and ends the day phase. There is a time limit on how long the Day phase may last, decided by me arbitrarily. Basically, as long as there is discussion and activity, the Day will go on until a lynch. If the game loses activity, I will set a deadline to restimulate the playing. If a day is just taking too long because you're all wishy-washy pansies, I'll just set a deadline.

At night, night actions are submitted and resolved by the GM with the results posted when everyone has acted, bringing the Day Phase back. The hard time limit for night actions will be 24 hours. Since you are required to make one post per day, you can send in a night action when you check the thread. I don't want this game just sputtering out.

There are a couple of special rules:

1) No Private Messaging.

aka no secret alliances.

There is to be no communication about gameplay in this game outside of this thread, aside from the Quicktopic I've assigned to certain players in their role PM. As soon as I find out a message has been sent, I will modkill the sender. You are, of course, free to PM me at any time you'd like.

2) You must post at least once each day.

Not once each game day. Once every real, 24-hour period day. If you don't, I'll send you a PM warning you. If you have enough warnings, I'll just modkill you. If you have only limited access to the internet, let me know somehow. I'm pretty understanding about this stuff.

NIGHT 2 BEGINS

The survivors band together as a mob, pitchforks gleaming dully in the torchlight. WellAdjusted backs away fearfully from their looming shadows.

"Only the living dead would have hands like that!" simonj yells at the crowd.

"No non-undead would have hungry eyes like that!" Woofness woofs his accusation very woofingly.

"I do say, there still remains a merest trace of a possiblity that perhaps she is not, in fact, the living dead. However, present circumstances dictate the necessesity of lynching the potential living dead to determine whether or not they are, in fact, what the layman would call zombies, and the behaviour of this lass this evening has proven beyond a reasonable doubt that she is, in fact a zombie, although I must let everyone know, again, that it is not yet proven and therefore could still be a mislynch."

Think uses a lot of words, doesn't he?

"No living woman would have such terrible blowjob technique!" KT.'s shrill accusation is largely ignored.

"Please, no," WellAdjusted fights feebly, but knows the end has come. "I'm not what you think I am... I'm just a regular girl..."

The rope snaps tight and WellAdjusted is soon left hanging in the breeze, so to speak. When she stops moving everyone realizes that, well, if she were actually a zombie, she would probably be kicking and screaming in rage from BEYOND THE GRAVE! As it is, she doesn't really move at all. Hell, her nametag even says "WellAdjusted, Town Limo Driver", but I guess people don't like paying attention to that.

Knowing that zombies are still on the prowl, everyone fearfully goes to bed.

Everybody with a night action, please submit it to me ASAP.

DAY 2 BEGINS

After an absolutely fantastic night of sleep, everyone gets up and heads on down to the local lynching platform to discuss death for a whole day. When they get there, they realize that Atmosfear, the Town Bus Driver is shuffling and shambling around. It's not until after Atmosfear tries to bite a couple people that the town strings him up. But he doesn't stop kicking or moaning with undead rage, so the town lights him on fire, then rebuilds the platform.

With 5 alive, it's 3 to lynch. You are in "Lynch wrong and you lose" mode, now.

They were quite proficient with the handling of large, four wheeled motor-vehicles.
Not so proficient when it came to avoiding a lynch mob though.

The Mafia/Zombies normally joins bandwagons, not start them. I also think it's wrong to presume that any one of the town folk are particularly more powerful or more important than the rest since so far it seems like every Townie has a special job.

I am the Town's (shitty) taxi driver. My special power is that I can swap two players. Any action targeting one will target the other. Guess who I chose last night. Woofness and Atmosfear. Last night Atmosfear was killed (presumably) by Zombies. That can only mean Woofness was the original target. Since the Zombies wouldn't target their own that means Woofness is Town.

At the end of Day 1, I originally considered Woofness, simonj, and Vengeful Scars to be the most likely to be Zombies (of course I assumed only 2 of the 3 in reality could be Zombies or else Coq designed a fucked up, unbalanced game). I figured Woofness and simonj might be Zombies since they were the last two to jump on the WellAdjusted bandwagon. And Vengeful Scars may have been a Zombie since he didn't vote and practically stayed in the shadows except for his once per day required post. (Lurking in a common Mafia/Zombie tell)

After last nights events now my suspicions turn to Think, simonj, and Vengeful Scars. I feel as though simonj and Vengeful Scars are the most likely to be Zombies but there is still a possibility that Think is one.

I am going to lynch simonj. Before VS voted to lynch me, I was seriously considering voting to lynch him, however I do not want it to appear that I am simply voting in retaliation.

woofness I still want to hear what you have got to say (ASAP)
/unlynch woofness because I am not man enough to contribute to the bandwagon that would finish the game for the zombies without hearing out both sides properly
