Ok I'll play, even though I don't completely understand the rules entirely yet... or maybe I do.
If the barkeep allows only one person into the bar, and that person happens to be a werewolf, I take it that the cost of his mass-murdering of all the townsfolks in there would be outing himself as obviously a werewolf?
Also I nominated meself for the noble position of factorum della citta. I mean barkeep. I don't care how absurd my auto-nomination is.
1. The werewolf doesn't have to accept the invite.
2. Only the players who are in the bar and survive know the identities. If only the Barkeep and a werewolf were there, no one would know the identity of the werewolf.

Well, no he hasn't. But honestly it hardly seems to matter either way: it would be strange if the barkeep didn't choose people he knew from previous nights in the bar to be safe, and I assume he could retract his invitation to anyone he chose even if they were holed up in his bar a previous night, though why he would do that I don't know.

Any other players who want to play, now is the time before we begin.
We'll stay in this thread and I'll kick it off shortly. I'm just about to travel home from work, so it'll be about 2-3 hours.
Sunrise over the town to Casualton: where once there was a quiet certainty of endless days of idle dither to come, now lies a terrible unease at the prospect of a swift and bloody end.
The local Bar, an establishment lost by Sycld in a game of chance to its current proprietor Atmoscheer, seems less like a wretched hive of scum and villany than it was the day before and more like a hallowed sanctuary. Barkeep Atmoscheer crumples the letter in one fist and brandishes the club he normally keeps behind the bar in the other. Everybody knows that Barkeep never leaves his bar at night, so at this moment he alone is beyond suspicion...for now.
Noon is already fast approaching and beyond that, the terrors of night. The citizens of Casualton must now decide their collective fates.

But really let's just get to the first night.
I'm just going to invite everyone to the bar. All townies will accept the invitation. Van Helsing will accept the invitation.
The werewolf will either accept the invitation, kill a random townie, and give up his identity to Van Helsing, or he won't accept the invitation and we'll all know who he is anyways. Either way, we lynch him tomorrow and he'll have no time to use his conversion ability (not to mention, no targets.)
Van Helsing should also go ahead and declare his identity, since any multiple claims can easily be handled by a lynch and inviting everyone to the bar at night. Even if the werewolf tried a false claim to Van Helsing, and we lynched the real Van Helsing, I just wouldn't invite him to the bar tonight, we'd all be safe, and we'd hang him high tomorrow.
Don't try to argue with me, I've read all the rules, and I'm right. The game setup is broken (though it was mildly improved by giving Van Helsing identity instead of an autokill in the bar) and, yes, I'm a dickhead.
WellAdjusted, go ahead and get a game thread up so I can blow up your game setup, too.

The werewolves just have to kill the bartender the first night and then everyone is fucked?If there is a Werewolf in the Bar and also 1 or more Werewolf not in the Bar, the Werewolves can also perform a Kill or Conversion action that night.
failing that just keep their numbers up by conversion throughout the game.
either way its a bit of an odd setup.
if someone refuses to enter the bar under atmosfear's plan then
a)we know that they are a werewolf
and
b)everyone else is in the bar so there's no-one for werewolf two to kill or convert
WellAdjusted I hope you have learned a lesson.
(The lesson is use standard roles in standard combinations because you don't know what you're doing)
