mutton insists very clearly that he is not at all a guard, because in alternate dimensions where he was one, he was demonstratably better at it than any of you poor fucks.
WellAdjusted realizes she's the majority and jams her sword deep into mutton's belly. As the blade slides in, infernus leaps forward and pulls it out, saying "guys, I don't think it's a good idea." Blood leaking all over the floor, mutton curses everyone, calling out who's a guard and who isn't. Well, he started to: sycld jumps in with a bloodthirsty yell, forcibly penetrating mutton from behind with his sword.
"FINALLY," sycld says, sweat dripping from his brow, "I THOUGHT WE WOULD NEVER GET TO DO THIS"
His body is quickly searched, but nothing substantial comes from it, until someone checks the discarded guard uniforms.
"Hey, check this out - someone wrote 'mutton' on the inside of this uniform!"
Turns out Mutton was a Palace Guard.
With one guard out of the way, the Rebels celebrate, hooting and hollering. But they aren't done until the King has been slain.

Right, except mutton pointed out sponge and made a big deal about sponge's innocence as a rebel before anyone had a real suspicion about mutton. I'm not going to provide examples because fuck it I'm hungry, but you can skim through the first page (100ppp 4eva) and you'll see that mutton tried to convince everyone that sponge was innocent way before people really started voting for him, not at the very last moment. Fuck, the only reason people really started voting for him in the first place was because he tried to claim that sponge was a rebel.Quote:

sponge is either the king or innocent, as mutton had a decent point, but also could have been digging too hard to allay suspicion from the king (early premises are often mistakenly assumed for facts.) Since we're already up one guard by fishing out mutton, I say we gamble on sponge.

How can you possibly post at this point without at least mentioning Think's hail mary manoeuvre. He clearly set up Woofness as the king. Now I don't believe for a second that Think (who will clearly be bitter at going out at this point) would stoop so far as to name the king just because he got voted out. But we have to figure out what he was trying to steer us away from or what more complicated mind game he was attempting to initiate.
I'm pretty drunk (its 04:25). I will try to figure this out tomorrow.
I'm disregarding it, Woofness hasn't been attacked yet, so he is one of the least threatened, which would take us away from where we are really going.

/kill sponge is still the best option because both Mutton and Think have made him suspicious as hell and we have already killed both guards so we're two for two right now and can afford to make a well reasoned mistake.
I still vote to kill sponge like I did last round, when I voted after Think was already done for.
I'm curious to hear WA's reasoning for why she is suspicious of me, simonj, or KT, and not sponge, but I doubt there's anything sound in it. Frankly. I think our smartest move is to kill sponge and see if he's the king (I suspect he is, based on mutton and think's identities.)
If that fails, I think we have to turn toward WA. It would behoove her as king to cast her suspicions all over the place, not committing to anything and waffling. That's typical mafia behavior--the informed must appear clueless. We started discussing sponge last round (after the last vote for think was cast) and LargeDuck has pointed out in a post WA has since replied to that mutton and Think both steered away from sponge. I'm not saying that sponge is a sure thing (as I've already mentioned), but there's a ton of evidence piling up, moreso in light of Think's identity, that WA is shying away from.
WA may not be king, but her behavior suggests she knows something.

I wasn't re-directing attention, just refusing to go with the feckless herd voting sponge. I refuse to believe mutton is either that stupid or that subtle to post as he did in the earlier game.
So I re-read Day 2 after sponge defended himself (by re-read I mostly mean read for the first time because think was dead before I got there) and I'm inclined to agree with sponge... Even Think wouldn't sacrifice himself trying to lynch his King.
sponge could be a guard, but we've got enough of a lead where we should be fishing for the king, not the guards.
I don't see anything behind voting for kt and I can rest assured that she's a terrible player who will end up revealing her identity all by herself later, if its of any consequence.
I'm going to vote kill infernus for now. Between his bandwagoning day 2 (as sponge mentioned) and his fishy "i'm not really paying attention" play to date, I think he looks like he could be trying to camouflage.

Mutton has had it out for infernus from day one. It would be a wasted vote.
If look for those who haven't been voted for by guards then you're left with Shitface, atmosphere and well adjusted I think. Obviously they might have put out a vote for the king simple misdirection but that would only be if they thought it likely they would be killed and revealed as a guard. Both lynchings were too abrupt for that to ever be the case.
