Need help with an arts and crafts project. (yes homo)

Ok, so I got one of those Captain America shields for Halloween for like ten bucks, and it's just been hanging out at my house. Now it's pretty flimsy crap plastic, so I'm trying to think of ways I can stiffen it up (erection hu hu) but I'm kinda blanking. A friend of mine suggested fiberglass resin, but that sounds like a huge hassle. Anyone have any ideas?

Fiberglass mat with resin. Cut it and put it behind the shield.

that's probably your best bet

but you could maybe (depending on how concave it is) pour some polyurethane in there too and let that dry.

i'd still recommend fiberglass resin.. it's really not that bad.

Some fiberglass resin WOULD be the best bet. But some paint stirrers glued to the back would stiffen it up as well.

That's not a bad idea. Maybe even something thinner that wouldn't straighten it out.

I suggested the mat because it would allow him to spread it out evenly over the concave back. Just resin would likely pool in the middle.

Dont you have to use the mat with the resin? I dont think using just the resin would work too well, if at all.

Just get a fiberglass mat, cut it to shape, then brush the resin on it, and let it dry. Painting is optional.

I'll be honest, this thread got way more actual responses than I thought it would.

Yeah I'm thinking getting some fiberglass matting and then putting a coat of resin over the top is the best bet, but I don't want to have to buy a ventilator, and don't know anyone I could buy it from

Someone suggested using it to create a mold and then making one out of foam rubber but that sounds like a huge bitch

Have a bunch of guys line up for a 100 meter dash where at the finish line is a giant funnel. I do mean giant, so big that it is enough for 12 guys to line up side-by-side to ejaculate comfortably which is what they'll be doing. The winner will be the first one to drop about 20 oz (that's 1 aquafina bottle) of splooge into the funnel where at the other end is you, Captain Castle, with your lips planted firmly around the end piece.
