    Default EA - content production

The way I remember it, EA used to be a pretty active forum and a draw to newbies (everyone has opinions about pop culture and everyone wants to share them). It's kind of petered off. So what kinds of things would you like to see in EA?

Do you want to see more specific discussion of particular shows? Do you want more generalised discussion? Do you want to see competitions run by the staff? If so, make some suggestions, however vague.

All of this is more-or-less rhetorical: what I'm saying is, there is plenty of discussion to be had in EA, we all watch TV and movies, so get posting. Doesn't matter if you think nobody else watches The Vampire Diaries or Glee or whatever. Get posting.

Feel free to make suggestions ITT for things you'd like to see in here. Doesn't matter if you think they're stupid suggestions.

My opinion depends on how much work you want to do.

There can be the main board and sub-boards, the main board is used for discussing things that happened in a tv show, a movie or any general music talk. A couple sub-forums of Music, TV, Movies, Books, etc. What they are used for is pure ratings without spoilers, the main post will just have a IMDB description or your own vague description (hopefully a poster/cover picture as well). Included in theses threads should be polls 1-10, if you vote a score a short explanation of why you gave it your score should be a rule. Suggest you make a thread for every new big movie/tv show that comes out. If there isn't a thread of what you want on there, you can make it yourself as well.

Sub-boards can and will be created when content demands it. If we get a dozen really specific threads about TV or movies or music, we'll create a subforum for them.

Your subforum for ratings, though, is... interesting. A sort of ratings-aggregator specified to our community, a CD-version of rotten tomatoes. I quite like that, actually.

I definitely want to see more TV-following threads. Not just "durr who else watches Archer", but live threads that keep people posting.

I mean, the winning example of those was the LOST megathread, and there probably won't ever be another Lost, but I think there are shows on (Community, Archer, Mad Men... the first three that come to mind) that will keep people posting week-to-week.

I wish Community could still keep anyone posting week to week

I think if we made a collective effort to actually post in the threads that we make a collective effort to add to this section then it will at least start to thrive a little bit.
