Community - Season 6 - Only a Yahoo! would want #SixSeasonsAndAMovie

No one ever thought it would make it this far. the #SixSeasonsAndAMovie hashtag was started as a joke, a gimmick, to get the interwebs talking about the show, and to save it from cancellation after its first (second?) year.

Five seasons in, a show-runner & creator fired, then re-hired, some scandalous voicemails leaked to the public, the departure of 2 primary characters, NBC finally pulled the plug. Community would be no more. Then a bunch of Yahoos decided to, once again, beat the crap out of a dead horse, and they're doing it after two other primary characters have left.

This is the thread for the show that just won't die, no matter how many times it has been shot, beaten, stabbed, suffocated, run over, dragged through the mud, and then shot again.

Season 6 of Community can be seen on Yahoo! Screen. The first two episodes have been released at the time of this posting, and they're as Community as ever, it's hardly Changed at all. So, post your thoughts, your fears, your complaints, or even your praise. Link reviews, clips, etc. Just try not to Brita up this thread.

Episode 1: Ladders

Thoughts: The first episode started out slow, and didn't really feel like Community until it was about half over. I assume this was due to the introduction of Paget Brewster's character, who is apparently the new Shirley. The entire episode pokes fun at itself in traditional Community meta-humor fashion ("somtimes dead is better"), and is riddled with coy references to the show's seemingly inability to die.
There's a cameo from the best janitor on TV since Neil Flynn, and I giggled with delight when he popped up (I'm sure @gwahir will also appreciate it), as well as an awesome cameo in the tag at the end of the episode that was both incredibly well done, and quite funny.

My biggest complaint about "Ladders" (and episode 2: "Lawnmower Maintenance And Postnatal Care") is Ken Jeong's character, Chang. I loved Chang in season 1. As the seasons progressed he became more and more absurd. In the last couple seasons Chang seems to be just an afterthought. The idea seems to be to get Chang to do the weirdest or dumbest things to try and get a laugh. They can do so much more with Ken Jeong and the Chang character. I really hope they do as this season progresses.

I am a huge fan of Community, but was very disappointed by the first couple episodes. I just didn't find them as funny as I would have hoped

They did a lot of fan service, but the writing just wasn't funny.

I think Season 6 is alright so far. 'Ladders' sort of felt like it was trying to hard, but it did have some funny gags. Lawnmower man did a decent job of getting Keith David in there, but was a little clunky.

Today's episode though, it felt like old times. Just a classic Community problem and the gang trying to solve it through misguided antics. Even the side-stories worked (except for Chang).

I'm loving Keith David's character so far, especially with this episode. Elroy's sneakiness is a great accompaniment to Jeff's. They just need to use the character more.

Episode 4: Queer Studies and Advanced Waxing

FINALLY they've done something with Chang, and it's completely amazing. As season 6 continues, each episode gets better and better. I think with Episode 4 we're finally on par with previous seasons. if things continue at this rate, we may see paintball or D&D levels of awesome by the time the season is over. I'm crossing my fingers.

Yeah, I LOVED this episode. 'Gay Dean' cracked me the fuck up, especially the reprise later on. Man, it was grand.
