The creepy/evil kid has been extremely played out since The Shining. That's clue number one in deducing crappy movies.

What I didn't get from the previews, is that if the evil kid died in the womb, why the fuck is he a five year old now? Shouldn't he like be, an evil fetus or something?
Logically, yes. Although, didn't you know? Logic doesn't matter when it comes to movies. It's like the whole, 'Someone's in my house trying to kill me, I think i'll run up the stairs' scenario.
Uh, actually, that's explained in the movie.
I mean, not defending it or anything, but it is explained heavily.
