In my mind he'll always be the guy in Disco Pigs but, no, he's still not manly enough in 28 days later to warrant a heterosexual man crush.

Well, in a way the GI Joe movie mirrors Clinton's Army in the 1990s. Michael New refused to convert from Real American Hero to Global Integrated Joint operations Entity, or whatever GI Joe is supposed to stand for now and he got shown the door. http://www.mikenew.com/meet.html

As for nostalgia, yeah, it runs strong in many men (boys, perhaps?) my age. In the Eighties GI Joe found an identity much stronger than its 12" and Adventure Team days. Hell, I grew up watching the cartoon, playing with the figures and masturbating to Lady Jaye and Scarlett running around the woods screaming Yo Joe! Now it's come full circle and I'm paid to do the same thing.

Back to the movie, at least the characters are the same. Too bad there's no Muskrat, Beachhead or Shipwreck, those were always favorites.
