Ughh stupid ben episodes.
It'd be seriously hard for me to pick a favorite episode.. I liked the few when they had ben captured season 2, like where sieve dug up the grave ben said his wife was buried.
If the candidates cant die does that mean locke might come back alive? And fake locke was obviously lying to ben about being in charge when he leaves because ben is clearly not a candidate.
Who said the candidates can't die? All we know is Richard can't kill himself. Perhaps the candidates can't kill themselves either but nothing has really indicated they can't die.
I think it's pretty clear that the candidates can die since some of the names crossed off in the cave are people who have died. (Rousseau, Faraday, etc)

Clearly, Faraday would have made the best replacement for Jacob.
Also, speaking of candidates, if a winner is chosen, $20 it'll be Jack.
That is the big red herring. We all think it will be Jack because of the intrinsic Jack/Locke war that has been running through the series. In the end though, it will most likely be Hurley.
Or... maybe the writers know that the audience thinks that Jack is a red herring, and just to fuck with us, the writers for once will go for the obvious.
but you're probably right
$20 on Hugo.
I noticed that grave Ben was digging was conveniently very straight, as if he had been measuring the angles and such as he dug his own grave with a stick..
not hugo. his thing is that he can speak to dead people -- that's why he's here. he wouldn't have two things. so far, the only one without a "thing" is jack.
there's a reason the writers have set jack's character up as they have. my money's on him being the new guy. the jack/locke conflict should be seen through. that's good writing. it would be disappointing if that didn't happen -- unless it happened in an unexpected way (which is more than plausible, given, well, lost). if jack doesn't have SOMETHING, some destiny that made him important enough for jacob to watch him as a kid and for him to be brought to the island... well, that's just a let down.
I would disagree that the only one without a 'thing' is Jack. What is Jin or Sun's thing (one or both is candidate)? What is Sawyer's 'thing'?
I'm also not saying Jack doesn't have something which brought him to the island, I'm just saying it may not be what we have been led to believe.
I'm pretty sure he didn't 'find' him. He was in a box shown to him by the others iirc (which I probably don't because that is now years ago).
Regardless of how Sawyer met him, in my opinion it's still not a "thing". I mean, if it was considered a "thing" (whatever that means) then I would think catching a flight with your secret illegitimate half-sister would also qualify as a "thing".
Jack will replace Jacob because Jack has type O blood.
True story.
HELL YES
Next week is the Richard episode.
Speaking of Richard, my theory is that he was a slave/prisoner on the Black Rock. In the "Dr. Linus" episode, he implies that he came to the island on that ship and in one of the shots Richard seems to reminisce over some slave chains.
At times I felt like I was watching Miami Vice. Not the best episode, fer sher.
We're now past a third of the way through the season. Next episode is halfway. Wheres the connection between the scenes?
I suppose the Richard episode will probably answer that though... Being immortal in the real world and such.
"Now Aaron has a crazy mother too" was he somehow implying that he is Aaron?

I don't think so. I didn't read it like that, anyway.
And who knows. Maybe "a third" is very rough. Maybe my source was wrong entirely.
why should we know? look it up. if that information is public, you'll find it.
Where would I look for seeing if the actors been cast :|
He had an encounter with the black smoke, seems sensible for him to appear somewhere near the end, to find out why the man in black killed him and impersonated his brother.
Or is "because he is evil incarnate" supposed to be our answer?
we have a semi-answer (that the smoke "judged" him and deemed him either evil or his intentions detrimental to the island), but just fucking hang on and wait for an answer.
and in answer to your first question, google it, you schmuck.
Uh, Gwahir, Jack's "thing" is that he set into motion the incident.
yeah but it hasn't come to anything yet. it's just caused weirdness.
but you're right, i guess
Yeah I'm not saying it isn't stupid
