Default Shows you got into late

This thread is about shows you started watching late into or after their run.

I started watching Scrubs during season 7 and I don't even remember what got me into it in the first place.
I watched the first season of Buffy more than 10 years after it aired.
I started watching How I met your mother in the middle of the 4th season.
I'm sure there are more but that's all I can think of right now.

Obviously you can elaborate as much as you want about a given show and what got you into it and so on, I just chose not to.

I started watching Scrubs right before the beginning of the sixth season
I started watching Buffy in June
I started watching HIMYM right before the third season
I started watching House in the middle of the third season
I started watching Avatar in the middle of the second and third season
I started watching Bleach when they were around episode 110

Plus there are a bunch of shows I watched after they were completed. Of course, I started at the beginning after I realized I liked the show/decided to download a show and start watching it for shits and giggles based on no previous experience, but that is the place they were in the series when I started at the beginning.

Oh yeah I just started watching Avatar two days ago. Just finished season 1 today actually.
I tend to download a lot of comic book cartoons or just cartoons in general after their run and just watch it all in a matter of weeks since they're short. (Batman Beyond, X-men Evolution, Avatar(now), X-men TAS, and Batman TAS)
And yeah, I was thinking of mentioning some shows that I watched after their run but then I realized that I'd just end up naming a bunch of one season cult hits.

Heh, I dig those old comic book cartoons too. X-men Evolution and Batman Beyond I actually saw entirely after they were finished. Batman TAS is so money that I actually bought it on DVD.

Buffy, Angel and Firefly were all things I came to very late. Same with HIMYM. I was in on Scrubs from the beginning, though.

I got into Psych late, and same with The Office, and same with Veronica Mars.

Really, most shows I came into late. The only shows from memory that I've watched from the beginning are Dollhouse (lol), Lost, House and Heroes.

I didn't actually watch The Office until long after it had finished.

I watched the first episode of The US Office, hated it and didn't give the series another chance until two seasons later.

I still haven't watched any more of the British Office than one episode, and I hated that.

The US Office is hilarious, though.

Well, I just started recording Burn Notice, watched one episode and think I'll stick with it.

Oh yeah, I watched the first couple of episodes of Burn Notice a couple of weeks ago. I keep meaning to download more.

All of them. I nearly always get into shows late. I'm not a big fan the "WATCH EPISODE, WAIT A WEEK, WATCH ANOTHER" method of episode distribution that is all too common. I don't like being fed in increments like a child, like a mangy mutt, like a worthless bitch, like a ravenous whore, like a filthy fucking tandiberry, no sir! In stead of the traditional viewing method which many go along with, I prefer to wait until a show has finished at least most of its first season, if not more. This is good because there's always new shows coming on, so I can just watch older ones (such as Seinfeld, for example - though I'm sure you didn't need one, you sly devil, you) while I wait for the newer shows to finish up a bit. Often times I will download an entire season, or series, and burn through it all in a short period of time. Nevertheless, I prefer to watch television at my leisure, and not whenever it is served to me! Anyhow, here is a (partial, perhaps) list:

    Lost
    Frasier
    House
    The Office
    Scrubs
    Frasier
    Curb Your Enthusiasm
    Oz
    That 70s Show
    Nip/Tuck
    Frasier
    The Sopranos
    Breaking Bad
    Monk

and hopefully several more to come, pending that I deem future television shows worthy of my viewing time, of course.

I started The OC after it ended. More people should watch the series. It's not what most people expect.

You need to watch Spider-Man TAS. It's way better than X-Men TAS.

I started watching Burn Notice recently. I thought it was gonna be awful but it turned out to be pretty decent. I started Watching House on USA late last school year and was hooked instantly.

I actually have it I just forgot to mention it. But it didn't keep me watching. Spectacular Spider-man is much better imo. It's on season 2 right now so you can catch up quickly but it's going to be on some weird disney channel so you'll probably have to download them from now on. (Disney XD) PM me for RS links.
Edit: I think the theme song is amusing and catchy too.

I enjoyed Spider-man TAS (even though it is slow, just like X-Men TAS). I don't know if I would call Spectacular Spider-man better quite yet, but I do admit that Spectacular Spider-Man is easier to watch.

Is it just me or do you guys love whenever Mary Jane shows up for the first time how she ALWAYS says "Face it Tiger, you just hit the jackpot" I just love that for some reason.

Ok fine what Mr.e said. But yeah Spectacular is more fun for me. But I think Gwen Stacy should be hotter.. just me though.

I got into Doctor Who (the new version) around the middle of the 4th series. I got into Torchwood shortly after that (it was in it's 2nd series).

Well, I meant the remake series. It's only 4 seasons long at this point. 1-3 are on Netflix Instant View right now. That's how I got into them.

I'm not sure I want to delve back into the original series at this point. Seems like too much work.

I was bored one day in college, and borrowed all my friend's Friends DVDs.
I didn't watch Sex and the City until it was on DVD.
I recently (like 2 months ago) watched my first episode of The Office.
Same goes for It's always Sunny in Philidelphia. Now I own all the DVDs.

I love that show. I got into that late, too. Now it's one of the shows I watch every week.

    This.

Easily one of the best Batman shows, other than the original with Mr. West.

    Ninja:

You know Adam West comes in to Batman TAS as the Gray Ghost in the first(or second) season I believe.

Psych is a great show, even though I watched it since the beginning. What I like is that you can miss an episode and watch the next without any problems.

Mainly sitcoms, because for a while they were all just piles of shit that never made me laugh. Now, they're piles of shit that make me laugh on occasion. Except HIMYM, which I think is a hilarious, sweet, touching show.

Big Bang Theory is find very funny as well, and I just recently got into both of those.

The Class, when it came on, I thought was hilarious, but it only lasted a season In the first episode, a guy was about to kill himself, but went to a party instead, fell in love with a girl, backed over her with his car breaking both her legs, went back to his house, tried to call her but her sister said that the girl with the broken legs never wanted to see him again, so he swallowed a bunch of pills, then the broken leg girl called him, and he got taken to her hospital for stomach pumping and the like.

That was such a funny show. CBS sitcom. I was very sad when it wasn't renewed.

I wanted to hate both The Big Bang Theory and The Class so much but I laughed a lot at both. I should pre-emptively despise all TV shows as much as that because I'll probably rarely be disappointed by TV again.

I don't know where they went wrong with The Class. The writing was great, I just think there were too many characters.

It was too soon after Friends and, in all fairness, it did look just like Friends.

But I thought it was written better than Friends. Friends relied too much on the whole 'will they, won't they' thing which The Class also maybe overdid a little but, at the same time, the characters were much more likeable and everybody's jokes were funny in this, instead of just Chandler and occasionally Phoebe or Ross.

I am starting to get into The Unit a little bit. I've seen episodes here and there but it's too hard to follow out of sequence. I started watching from the beginning and I'm 2 episodes in. It's not a bad show, not fantastic by any means, but not horrible. Besides, if it starts to get boring I can always drop it then.

Oh I got into Lost during the 3rd season. The show is a lot less frustrating if you can watch the episodes back-to-back instead of having to wait a week to see what happens.

Anybody remember a really ridiculous show on Fox a few years back called Fastlane? It only had one season, and it was awful, but I watched every episode. I remember because I was so pissed when it went off the air and then like 4 years later I realized it was a horrible show.

I got into The Wire late, but then I realized it was too heavy-handed and dull, so I got out of it.
