    Question Year One (2009)

I went to go see this movie last night with some friends. I am STILL shocked. I cannot BELIEVE how BAD that movie is. I hope nobody here will support that movie with a single penny, and I'm very disappointed that I went to a theater to see this piece of shit. I have literally NEVER walked out of a real movie at a theater until last night. Some of my friends left earlier but I was willing to stay since I refused it could stay consistently bad. I left the moment that Michael Cera was pouring oil on this fat hairy guy's chest and somehow that was supposed to be humorous? Fart jokes were also resorted to, and god damnit.

I have never once been pissed that I saw a movie until now. Even the worst movies I've seen up until this point were just like "ok well that was pretty much a waste of time but whatever, it was ok for its crowd." This movie, however, is just unbelievably bad! How could something like this movie get made? I don't get it. I've never seen Epic Movie or many of those spinoffs, but I bet they are ALL better than this.

I just had to vent, and do my duty to inform people to never spend money on this awful piece of shit. I would literally rather suck a dude off to completion instead of see that movie again, that is NO joke!

Well in that case I have a copy of the movie in one hand, and the other hand on my zipper. Your choice.

I'm just curious about something: Michael Cera and Jack Black look like stereotypical cavemen. What the hell are they suppose to be anyway? Teutonic tribesmen? Celts, probably Gauls? Or are they just unidentified generic "uncivilized" people? Do they ever encounter the Romans or at least other nearby cultures?

It got only 19% from Rotten Tomatoes, so yeah it's probably not any good.

Yeah they're supposed to be tribal people, and then they explore the world and get exposed to all sorts of new things. The storyline, as is typical with comedies, had nothing spectacular about it, but it COULD have been really funny with almost everything being the exact same except the writing.

Yeah, when I left from The Hangover I was like "yeah that wasn't bad." Compared to Year One, however, The Hangover is GOD!

The Hangover is a funny movie for sure. It has laughs all the way through.

While Year One had three laughs. It was a steaming pile of awkward moments for Micheal Sera, and Jack Black was, well, Jack Black.

Year One was garbage. The worst movie I've seen is "Meet the Spartans" (300 spoof) -- I can't believe I watched the whole thing. I also couldn't believe my friend owned the DVD lol

I didn't really find The Hangover to be gut-busting funny, but I was genuinely intrigued and satisfied by the goings on. Not all comedy has to make you bust a gut every second. I was pleasantly amused all through The Hangover, and laughed a few times. I hold it in high regard as a comedy movie that was fairly intelligent, with a great cast, and was just all around a good time.

    Also fuck Year One.

Year One is supposed to be the title, not how old the people who wrote the movie were.

I don't care what anyone says. Year One was hilarious. I'd watch it again.

    I lol'd.

Though I would assume at least SOME of the people who made the movie thought it was hilarious, so there are likely others in existence.
