A strobe light on the screen for 2 hours could also be entertaining. Would that make it a film worth recommending?

I'm not being a cunt, but 'simply being entertained' is a shit reason for liking a movie. Well, I guess it's not really a shit reason - I love the fuck out of Clue! but what does that movie have going for it besides acting and plot and style. It's that you're willing to say, "Yes, there's a laundry list of faults with the movie and you know, I can't really make heads or tails of the goings on or why anything was happening, really, but it entertained me, so I guess that's something."
There's a difference between a movie being so bad it's funny (See: The Happening) and so bad it's bad (See: Transformers 2: RotF). The fact that there are so few redeeming qualities about this movie besides how good the CG looks, and the fact that you're willing to say you liked it says volumes about you.
Which isn't a bad thing, it just means that you like shitty movies and have low standards and are entertained by jive talking, leg fucking, Megan Fox worshiping, platitude speaking, terribly racist, insultingly stupid robits.
And yet I still enjoyed the movie. Not everything that's enjoyable has to be a fucking work of art. The fact that you are spending so much time tearing this movie down instead of trying to enjoy it just tells me that you're a movie snob. And being entertained, is the sole purpose for me going to see movies, it's fucking entertainment. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy the movie, but seriously, why do you give a shit that I did?
I'm seriously not a movie snob and I think it's funny you think I am. Saying I'm a movie snob because I hate Transformers 2 is like saying I'm a food snob because I prefer bread to a moldy pizza.
The movie is so terribly, mind numbingly, offensively stupid and bad that it both amuses and terrifies me that you think I think every movie has to be a work of art because I hated Transformers 2. I listed "Clue" as a good movie.
I go to movies to be entertained as well. I'm not really a critic - I'm not Fabfunk, I hardly ever look for symbolism - but this movie was outright bad. It was outrageously bad. I'm just trying to wrap my head around the redeeming qualities that you found in the movie and I'm coming up with blanks. The action scenes were pretty, and that's about as much credit as I can give the movie. But it's not tough to film something pretty with a $200,000,000 budget.
Because the idea of anyone liking this movie is offensive to me as a person with a functioning brain.
EDIT: No, no, that's harsh. You can be entertained by stupid shit, that's completely fine, I like it when dogs walk on their hind legs because they look like little people.
