So, yeah, that movie was freaking amazing. I think Jackson and Blomkamp nailed the balance on sci-fi and political actions, if that's possible. I liked how there was enough believability within the timeline of the movie and at the same time have a decent set of badass weaponry. Overall though, I really enjoyed how it made us think about how the human race really is. Unlike most alien based movies in this genre, we are essentially the bad guys this time around. And only until the very end do we realize what monsters we have become. Unfortunately, this was only apparent to Wikus and a set amount of his close friends and coworkers, with the glass ceiling hindering any emotional throughput from the extended governmental cast. Sadly they were just as comfortable with sweeping the dust under the carpet.
