    Default What are your goals?

What are you working towards? What's your time frame? What are you doing to get there?

My current goal is to run a half-marathon. I ran up to seven miles straight this past fall relatively easily, so I'm hoping by the end of this coming summer I can easily run 10 miles and run a half marathon (13.1 miles) at least once.

The winter was hard since I don't really have anywhere to run inside, but I ran when I could (at least twice a week) and played racquetball to keep my fitness level somewhere near where it was. Now that the weather is getting better, or above freezing anyways, I've been getting out a lot more and plan to start training for it now. Furthest I've ran since the winter started is about 4.5 miles. Yesterday I ran 2.5 and today I ran 3 miles which were both easy and light.

I don't want to go out and kill myself before I get anywhere so I'm going to work my way to an average of 3 miles a day 5 days a week again, and from there I'll gradually build up. When I get there I'll just go by how many miles a week I'm running. So I'll be starting at 15 miles a week and I'll try to increase it a mile or two each week until I'm able to get about 30 miles logged per week. As time goes on I plan to start running less days a week but more miles a day. So instead of going out 5 days running 6 miles each day I'll try to do two days with 10 mile runs, a day with a 6 mile run and a day with a 4 mile run. Obviously if I run in to any problems (HAHA) I'll be changing this but so far this is my plan. As I said my goal is to run the half marathon by the end of the summer.

So what are you up to?

I want to reach 170lbs in weight, and be able to curl 100lbs by mid-summer, I don't think the goal is over ambitious since I'm already 161lbs, and I know I can gain 10 pounds or more by mid-summer, and hopefully hit 180lbs in weight by the end of year. I'm currently re-working my routine and gym goals, so I have nothing solid to go on at this moment.

Well seeing as I'm just getting back into lifting, I guess my goal is to stick to it. I stopped because of an ankle injury and never went back. Before, I only really went to the gym because my friends did, I didn't have a routine and had a half-arsed diet. Now it's only me working out in my house, with a proper routine and decent diet. If I'm still lifting steadily and making gains in 6 months time, I'll be happy.

I suppose my goal is to just put a good amount of lean muscle on and maybe get rid of my gut. I don't have any scales so I'm not sure how much I weigh. I want to get some numbers so I can set some real targets, maybe that'll help me stick with it.

I want to cut down to 240 and then bulk back up to 265 so that I can be a monster.

I'm at 219, my goal is to get down to 195 by early June. This will be achieved by a diet change and lots and lots of walking and running. I won't be lifting more than enough to keep my current muscle mass as I am trying to lose weight, not gain it.

I'd like to get up to a solid 200 lbs. I got there bulking, but most of what I put on was fat. If I ever cut down I'm hoping to be 185 with 7-8% body fat.

I'd like to tone myself a little bit more. Since stopping fencing I haven't been obligated to work out anymore. But now I'm going to the gym and working on getting back down to 130 pounds. I'm at 145 right now and I know the scale weight doesn't matter, but I want to be in better shape.

I'd like to tone my arms a little more and my thighs, before I get surgery again and the muscles all atrophy and look gross. :/

I'm changing my goal. Because I'm thinking of joining the military in several months, I am on a crash course to physical fitness. Diet change, workout change, the addition of long distance running for endurance training and I am adding lifting back into my regimen to add in strength training. Whee.

I hate cutting more than anything in the world. I'm chilling at 258, down from 282 at the end of my bulking cycle. I lost the weight pretty fast, so I am kind of worried. I need to get my body fat checked soon.

I want to get to 178. My lowest was 202. I'm back up to around 225, which saddens me, but is not unexpected. I've stopped working out as much, I don't eat as well.

So, for now, I'll set my goal to 215, and go from there. Baby steps.

you've probably been asked this about 3,000 times but how tall are you? My guess is 6'6, if that's right though then I'll assume the fact was hiding in my subconscious. If it's wrong, sue me

You can do it, you've been there before, just take it easy

I never posted my goal weight... originally my goal was 200. A while back I changed that to 180, and now that I'll be staring that in the face in a few months I'm thinking 170 or 160. This is all guess-work though, I don't now if it's possible for me to get that low (I'm 6 feet even with a relatively large frame). We'll see. I wan't to get super skinny for a little while at least, on healthy terms obviously, and then from there evaluate what is right for me and what I can maintain.

edit: and for the record my start weight was 300 and I'm currently 195

    Yes I am 6'6"

For the record I started off at 453.2 lbs almost exactly two years ago (March 2nd, 2007), and I haven't weighed myself since the last time I mentioned my weight in this thread, but I am pushing to be down to at least 253.1 lbs by March 2nd so that I have physical evidence that I lost 200 pounds in two years.
