Thread: GW2 Beta sign ups.

Beta for pre-purchasers won't be until the end of April.

In the past couple weeks I've cleared the cobwebs off my GW account, finished leveling my elementalist to 20, and have been working on HoM points.

I haven't gotten many yet. I've only gotten 3 points beyond the 3 you automatically get for linking your account. But I think I should at least get close to 30/50, which gives you all the equipment and vanity items. (Beyond 30/50, you just get a title for every 5 points.)

If anyone is playing GW on here, I'm usually on my elementalist Simucat Shan. I also started a Pre-Searing Ascalon ranger, Dorian Mauve, for both the Legendary Defender of Ascalon title as well as the point for having any level 20 ranger pet. I'm in a good guild in a good alliance (ally usually owns one of the Kurzick outposts I believe), so if you'd like I could vouch for your admission.



PS Oh, by the way: if you have a @plaync or @ncsoft Guild Wars account like I do, here's the deal. ArenaNet sort of screwed the pooch with this. When it asks for the email address associated with your GW account when registering GW2, IF you have one of these NCSoft-linked accounts, it actually expects (your NCsoft master account name)@ncsoft OR @plaync.

BUT... if you use that, the automated registration process will try to send a confirmation email to your @ncsoft/@plaync account, which of course fails since these are not actual email addresses.

So you can do one of two things. Either:

1) Use your @plaync/@ncsoft account name now, and hope that ArenaNet straightens things out and sends your beta invite before beta weekend this month, or

2) Make a new account, which supposedly you'll be able to link later to your GW account.

What I did was just make a new account using my email address. Though for now it's not linked to my HoM achievements, an ArenaNet support person told me that later on we should be able to link it to our GW accounts.

At least this way I should be able to get into the beta later this month without having to worry.
