I played the game on my brother's PS3 couple of days ago.
And I enjoyed it a lot.
It got good graphics, an apparently rather flat storyline (which often is good for casual gamers like me) and some unique game mechanics.
I'll prolly force him into buying it, haha.

Got it and beat it while my internet was down.

    Well, a few things:

    1. The storyline is horrible. HORRIBLE. They never tell you exactly what you're supposed to be fighting against. I mean, it's not just that they plop you down and say "This city sucks. You try to make it not suck. Okay, go." I mean, the first cutscene, the main character fucking says herself that the city used to be better, then "they started changing it", and everyone rioted to try and get it to stay the same, but it didn't work, and now it's bad. BUT THEY DON'T SAY WHY. It doesn't make sense. It's like someone took the completed script and cut out all the "Justifications for main characters' actions because of oppressive society" parts with an X-acto Knife. They reference it. They talk about it. But they don't EXPLAIN it. Beyond that, what actually happens in the game is all woefully predictable.

    2. If anyone watched the demo playthroughs with the developer commenting on the game, you may remember him saying that while you could steal guns from cops, you can get through the game without firing a single bullet. BULLSHIT. The only thing you can possibly complete in this game without using a gun is becoming the world's most ventilated woman, or possibly a brain hemorrhage from how much rage fills you when you can't get through the god damn level.

    3. This game reminded me of Prince of Persia. And not in a "Oh man, I like the feeling" way. It so strongly resembled the Sands of Time series, that whenever I missed a jump and would start falling, I'd seriously start mashing R1, trying to reverse time. All it did was make me wish I was playing a better game.
