    Whine Problem with upgrading GPU.

I just started upgrading my old PC and Im having trouble upgrading the video card. I can instal it and the computer turns on and shows the first screen where you can press ESC for startup options or F8 to do Safe mode. Well with the new card in and hooked up, and the integrated stuff unhooked, it goes past that screen and is just a black screen. Nothing else.

Then if I hook the integrated graphics cable back up with the card in it will do the same thing, only it gives me 6 long beeps.

I also started in safe mode and disabled integrated graphics, and then tried to use the card, and the same thing happened.

I also recently installed 8GB more RAM, for a total of 16GB, but it worked fine with that. So I dont think that has anything to do with it.

The computer is an HP I bought a couple of years ago. Here are the specs.

The processor is a 3.2GHz quad core.

This is the card I picked up.
    ZOTAC ZT-71115-20L GeForce GT 730 4GB 64-Bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 (x8 lanes) Video Card - Newegg.com

So anyone have any idea on what I should do?

Ok I got it to start with the card installed, but I hooked it to the VGA connector and not the HDMI, and its showing up as a generic display adapter with a whopping 14MB of memory.

    Where to from here?

Ok so this is probably an issue with the drivers. AMD CPU and Nvidia GPU apparently dont always work well together. So someone sent me this link : Display Driver Uninstaller Download version 15.1.0.2
From that I started the computer in safe mode with the integrated graphics. Ran the program and took all the drivers out. Restarted the computer and disabled the integrated graphics in the device manager, and then turned the computer off, installed the new GPU and hooked it up via HDMI. I got the initial HP screen and then a short beep. 10-15 seconds later another short beep. Then a third about 30 seconds later, immediately followed by a black screen that does not go away. So thats where Im stuck at now. I took the card back out and am just using the integrated stuff for now.

I ended up taking it to Geek Squad. The next day they called me and said I needed a better power supply, so I put a 400W PSU in it and was having the same issues. Brought it back to them and they wanted me to buy the tech support 1 yr plan for $200. Told them no thanks and got my $50 for the GPU install refunded. I think this card just may not be compatible with my PC. So I am returning it to Newegg and getting this one instead.

    MSI R9 280 GAMING 3G 384-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card - Newegg.com

I also ordered a 500W PSU because I know that cards gonna need it.

Got it fixed. It was an issue with my older mother board no supporting UFEI BIOS. The MSI car di got had a hybrid-BIOS setup, luckily. So I just needed to flip a little switch on the card and it worked perfectly. Im now running GTA V with everything on atleast high.
