Guys so I turn on my 360 and what do I see? Three flashing red lights. Any one else share my troubles?

Never bought a 360 for this reason. Almost all of my friends who have a 360 have had this happen to them.
I don't get it my little brother was just using my 360 about 30 minutes before. So WTF broke in between that time?
Just go to the xbox website and get your box sent to you. You'll have a working 360 in under a month.
I had my xbox red ring about a year after I purchased it, haven't had a problem since then.
My Elite gives me the RROD sometimes, but its never serious. I'm not sure why it does it, to be honest. Fixing it usually entails just unplugging it and plugging it back in, or doing the same with the HDMI cable. So, are you sure its the real RROD?
Yes I had times where I didn't fully plug in the video cords. But that's when all the rings are red. I have 3 red rings.. I called sexbox and they said I mail in mine and 2-3 weeks later they send me the fixed one. But I get a little bonus of 1 month of free xbox live play!
It happened to me a little less than two weeks ago. My Xbox is going to be delivered back to me today. It really isn't as big of a hassle as everyone says it is, plus now I have a fixed system with a new warranty.
FRESH!!!
Well "fixed" doesn't really describe it. It was never really broken. Just xbox people being faggots and putting 3 red rings on your xbox hoping you dont have a warranty and have to pay 100 bucks. But yeah FRESH!
Never got the RROD but I've had to send my in due to video card issues. You get a new one with a new warranty so what's the problem?
Yeah, I don't know what I'd do if I had to go two weeks without playing video games. It would be the end of my world.
I am just pissed of for all the people who's warranty expired/never had one because they have to pay like 80-100 bucks for doing nothing wrong. I think all repair should be free. Why should we have to pay for Microsoft's mistakes?
I'm not saying video games without a couple of weeks is the end of the world. The fact that I invested a few hundred dollars into a piece of equipment and it was designed and produced very poorly is the problem.
My brother's friend has gone through a handful of 360s since launch. All RROD on him. Having multiple fail on you would start to be a problem.
I could see multiple failures being annoying, but I got mine February '06 and it just messed up for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I think multiple console failures is just bad luck. Plus, with the warranty they have now by the time it expired it would be time to buy an Xbox 720 or whatever anyway.
Weird ass news. I told my friend in school today about my xbox. He told me to wrap it in a semi thick blanket put it in my refrigerator and leave it there for about 30 minutes. I know WTF?!?! He said he got the red rings and he just popped it in his fridge and like magic it worked.
I am thinking about trying this before I mail it in.
no reason not to. It won't void your warranty technically. Not provably anyway
I just tried it. Failed attempt. Although I could of used a too think blanket, I might try it once more before I send it in.
My favorite background on my computer for the longest time was just a straight black background with a RROD in the bottom right corner. It brought me joy knowing that the symbol has brought many 360-onry users shame.
lol fanboys
