Well the game's already choppier than the PS2 version so your special moves won't work all the time even if you do a perfect input (I tried playing with a Dualshock 2 and it went a lot better, but still not very good), but the sixaxis also has an extra sensitive d-pad which makes it even hard to pull off special moves. I guess it's not too bad if you just do combos but honestly what kind of casualfag ever does combos.

Fighting games are meant to be played with a stick. That said, the PS3 controllers are a hell of a lot better than the Xboxes for fighting games.

I don't find it choppier on the PS3. Compared to the DC version, this is almost exactly the same offline. Online lags a bit on certain things (trap teams, Santhrax, CapCom spam), but that's to be expected.

The PS3 dpad is fine for what it is. Specials weren't a problem. The only thing that gave me trouble was Mags & Storm rushdown and Sent's fly/fast fly/unfly combos. Some bnbs were tough due to ending with hcf/hcb motions for the super, but I think if I played long enough with a pad I'd get it. It's not optimal, but I was still pulling out wins.

But, yeah, I see no reason to play this game with a controller.
