I admittedly haven't watched any blu-ray movies yet but when it comes to NBC analog and NBC digital (our cable company gives both) I go digital every time. Granted DVD Video is probably marginally better than analog cable but the differences are similar. Lots of DVDs do have superb sound though, at least for my 5.1 Yamaha system. (Although on the subject of jacking off HD porn is 3000 times more desirable than YouPorn although you can't beat the youPorn convenience.)

I don't know if it's really the quality of the upscaler or just the fact that upscaling can only do so much.
