Uncharted 2 just scored a 9.5 from ign (http://au.ps3.ign.com/articles/102/1026373p1.html). I personally loved the first game, so I'm reasonably hyped for this one.
Anyone else excited?

That does actually look awesome.
The IGN review was actually very low in comparison to the majority of others and judging from the fact that a lot of people were complaining that 9.5 was bad. This emphasises how awesome this game is going to be.
The complaints from the 9.5 review are valid, I'm assuming, and people just get their knickers in a twist over every little thing.
I'm going to buy it, play it, and love the fuck out of it. When the first game was announced, I thought it looked like shit. Then, I played the demo. The demo didn't really impress me, but at the time, it was one of like... six games for the console, and I had just finished Ratchet and Clank, so I bought it.
Holy shit, the first game was awesome. It's the only game I've ever played where I was interested in watching the actors in their mo-cap suits because I was just that into it.
I'm gonna buy a PS3 should I play Drake's Fortune first or just jump into this?
Drake's Fortune is entirely worth it, and you have enough time to play it before the new one comes out. The game has incredibly realized characters, so it's more than worth playing through for that reason alone.
Gamestop gave it a 9.5. I downloaded the latest multiplayer demo. I'm pretty sure I'll have to get it. Probably should play the first one though
Yeah I can't find anything really negative about the game except clumsy shooting in close quarters. The multiplayer is simple but very fun and that's just in the beta. I never played the first one but I think I'll have to get this.
Tuesday cannot come fast enough.
Uncharted, Dino Crisis 2 and Dead Space are all games I've started a second game immediatley upon completion of the first play through. I might be getting a review copy over the weekend.
Uncharted was super awesome. I expect Uncharted 2 to be even better.
That is all.
Adam Sessler called it the best single player experience of all time.
If I wasn't going to Season 7 American Idol winner David Cook's concert on Tuesday night I would play it and call out sick on Wednesday.
DUDE, SOMEONE ELSE WHO PLAYED DINO CRISIS!! YESSSSSSSSSSS

Dino Crisis 2, for me, was a forerunner in taking a standard forumla and head-turning it. Taking the Dino Crisis name and gameplay type, only adding RPG, weapon customization, a scoring system - it eliminated a large amount of fear, but ratched up the fun. DC2 eventually turned into Resident Evil 4 - if you like RE4, you're doing yourself a disservice if you don't pick up DC2. Dino Crisis was also fun, but ultra hard. I played it on the PC and struggled to finish it.
Ah. I played it on the PS1 and loved the shit out of it. It was like the first game I played with alternate endings.

I'm installing Dino Crisis 2... I'm going to be livid if it sucks.
Keep in mind that it is years old and still uses fixed cameras. It's like RE4 with dinosaurs and fixed cameras.
maybe the story is good but the controls are annoying and frankly not that exciting i'm bored i quit
The story is really quite crappy.
oh well good thing i already uninstalled
Should have played the first one.

I went ahead and rented it since there isn't much replayability and it's a pretty short game. I'm really liking the game thus far, but I do have a complaint about the controls. First, I seem to stick to walls a lot. There really should be an unstick button (like L3 or R3) so that you don't have to risk exposing yourself to unstick.
Second, major nitpick, but I would have preferred melee attack on R3, like every FPS.
Third, the swinging mechanic seems a little broken to me. This happens when you're hanging from something and need to swing forward and jump. The rest of the controls are so elegant, and when it comes to doing this, I literally have to start button mashing until it triggers correctly. There was one point in Chapter 5 that I literally got so frustrated that it wouldn't swing-jump that I turned the game off and went to look up a vidya walkthrough to make sure I was going the right direction (I was.) Worse, once I was on the correct pole, there was no way down, so to restart I literally had to just hit circle and drop to my death.
Otherwise, I like the story, love the action and pacing, and am definitely going to see this to the end.
Yep, I'm done. Good game.
