Played 20 levels on xbox before PC came out. Got PC and now I am 20. This game is so much fun!
this actually looks pretty sick.
downloading now.
It's fucking awesome, except the consoles have this glitch where if you joing an online game you might randomy lose all your loot, inventory upgrades, and stat points with no way of recovering them.
Which happened to me.
I would be pissed as I was on playthrough 2, but I just started up as a different dude (Brick instead of Roland) and started playing again. You know what?
Still fucking fun as hell. This is the first time I've ever lost like 30 hours of save data and not been pissed about it. I'm miffed, but looking forward to playing the game. Only a few parts I'm dreading - namely the giant Raak fight (not the Raak hive) and anything involving the Crimson Lance because they're just fucking bitches and I hate them.
I'm a level 39 hunter, playing on 360. I need some coop-buddies, so send a friend request if you're interested. My GT is Kahvikone
I thought the ending of the game was really bad. There were no vending machines around to sell the crap to and my inventory was full of valuable stuff. The loot in the end was really shitty too.
Playthrough 2 is a lot of fun, since all the monsters and bandits are at level 30 or so. I'm glad I bought this game.
T/F this game is Falloutboy 3 with less plot
F. It's like Diablo II, but first person, and with guns.
Remind me how that description was not identical to Falloutboy 3 with less plot
If you're somehow aware you would notice in Fallout 3 combat is based on a D20 background die roll system for attack, accuracy, and damage.
In this game, if you shoot something, you hit something. That's the main difference, and it sets the two games worlds apart. Fallout 3 is very strategic, using the VATS system to pause the game and target specific body parts that use up eligible stamina based on guns and various other background stats. Additionally, there's a shit ton (approximate number) of skills and places to explore, despite the low number of quests. There are also conversation trees and a karma system.
Borderlands is, headshot = critical hit, and that's as technical as it gets. Your gun fires where you aim it, no background calculation. No conversation trees. Pretty much straight action with 3 pre-set classes, and no almost no story.
Have you played it? It's quite good.
no i haven't, but up until that post of yours i was thinking it sounded pretty awesome.
just that one post kinda made it sound otherwise lol.
i'm sure it will be awesome though. 50% dl done.
this is a fucking awesome game.
I have a lvl 12 hunter, going sniper. i always forget to use my pet though.
and yeah i would say this isn't much like fallout 3 at all

See what I mean? For some reason, everything that I said that was true is awesome, but sounds shitty.
lol.
Although I gotta say, I think there is some backround calculation going on, you don't always hit what you aim at.
so that roid rage psycho is pretty gay
what the fuck nades was he throwing?! i didn't have time to look behind me and check, was too busy running away from the massive explosions and him hot on my tail
did him on 4th try at lvl 13, after i went to the entrance and he was stood to the side, so i could shoot past the fence and headshot him without going into the pit and him attacking me.
cheap i know.
but i mean i didn't have much ammo and creatures were respawning and i didn't want to run back and get more then kill my way back again..
so i used my sniper ammo up on him down to half health then went in and finished him off.
he is pretty gay tho
edit: lol just got the solid thunder sniper. 1.2k crits at lvl 13. i like.

I'm not going to play Borderlands until I get a LAN of three of my friends and we're going to mash through the whole game over a few days. So far as I've seen, Borderlands is not meant to be played single player.
I'm looking forward to doing it co op with someone too, but I've been playing it through on my own and I'm having loads of fun with it. I don't see any signs that say it isn't meant to be played single player.
I played through a bit of it with my friend. Seems like a good game when playing Co-Op but I couldn't see it being as fun by yourself.
I've beaten it twice by myself (my game ganked up and I had to start over ), but then again, I played Diablo 1 by myself like 8-9 times before going, "Hm. I feel as though I am missing a vital component here."
I'm Brick, level 20 at the moment. Just got into the Dahl headlands. I fucking ADORE this game. It's brilliant.
If anyone wants to play Borderlands you can reach me at madpinorage on the ps3
