Ehhhhh.... I definitely wouldn't call MMO's at the state they're currently in the "best genre" of video games (though I wouldn't call any genre the "best genre"). MMO's have a lot of limitations imposed on them by their nature as massive, multiplayer, and (as is usually the case) persistent. There are, nearly by necessity, many elements that are drawn out, repetitive, and a boring. However, they are some of the most engrossing games since they encourage specific in-game interactions with a whole community of other players that really make one as though he or she is a real part of the world.
Anyways, I am still rather excited about WAR since hopefully it won't demand that I schedule the time I'm on it as is required by a raid-oriented game such as WoW, and it seems to be fairly well developed. However, there are still bugs and balancing issues which hopefully will be addressed in the up-coming months. The game in its current state is still fun, and in fact the class balance is decent considering that the game has just been released (pre-order people are essentially playing the full game right now.)
